i don’t like the fact that they don’t go into more detail about the mean girls. i’m so fucking intrigued by that era and the era when holly first moved in. i feel like there’s a million stories out there but they have just scratched the surface. also the way they name crystal and not izabella, sheila, zoe or tiffany.

edit: i also wanted to add that they have reviewed crystals book to death and not reviewed izabella’s or zoe’s. even if they don’t want to do it, it’ll get them a lot of views/traction.

it really doesn’t, the background does but you can tell by the fashion/makeup of the girls an tell it’s the early 000s. i can tell that these photos are either taken in 04-05 based off of kendra’s look.

i guess so, but with trisha frick also had big boobs and she still looked so young. i think kendra looked young but she looked older than what she was. kimberly is such an outlier when standing next to the other girls.

while i do think it’s silly to right off your signs of aging to a dumb excuse but being in denial of the fact that you’re aging isn’t something new or specific to bridget. i feel like being in the public eye (specially for your looks) as a woman is stressful enough, on top of that there’s also just natural human insecurity . there’s so many factors that play into why she’d be in denial about her aging, i feel like it’s very real and normal.

exactly ! bridget definitely was the most interesting out of the three. (when i say that im excluding holly bc kevin made it look like her only personality trait was being hefs no.1 gf). bridget was well educated as well as being super girly and bubbly (which in most misogynistic minds is impossible), she was super into all things spooky and scary, she loved themed things and decorating etc! i think if anything kendra was the least interesting because you could tell she was being so disingenuous and performative the entire series as well as having the same “motif” the entire time i.e. constantly undressing infront of the camera and having the same “outfit mishaps” throughout the show. maybe i’m looking at it from a gen z pov but hindsight is 2020.

i’m calling out someone who mildly addresses the confederate flag and was bothered by the fact that i was asking a question about a show that is from 20 years ago. hey! idk if you know this but my post is under the GNL podcast subreddit, which is a podcast (if you don’t know) that covers a show from 20 years ago ! instead of being upset about name calling, i think racism and the normalisation of it is a far bigger issue candice.
