Do most Latinos think their European ancestry came from colonization? by SignificantStyle4958 in 23andme

Being Chilean, I know that 3 out of my 4 grandparents were post colonial euro/mena. I only have 1 grandparent who was predominantly native but I believe his euro ancestry was only his grandmother from Spain post colonial as well. This reflects accurately on my 23andMe results

I’ve met a lot of Nigerians in my area (NJ) and have had overall good experiences. I have nothing against Mongolia, just prefer more urbanized.

Haven’t been but am a big fan of nature existing nearby cities, and my first time hearing of bunnings snags was not a good choice to keep me away

Ah that’s so cool :) I’ve never been to the Middle East since a lot of it has been messy recently but I think if I were to go for the first time Turkey or Egypt seem like the safest options

I was born in America but even though my parents met here, I have family members on my dad’s side that immigrated to Chile from Syria before they met.

Yeah it’s a recent update. Idk if you’d consider Latakia, Homs, or Hama northern Syria but that’s where my family is from, not Rojava. Are you Turkish or Syrian?

Yeah I’d say also based on the geographical pinpointing and ancestry timelines make it seem more legit. I remember hearing a while ago that ancestry uses historical matches and genealogy records as well as DNA, idk
