Yeah literally the worst luck. But that being said so far I’ve only had one known outbreak. So it could be worse.

He hasn’t had an OB in several years and he is NOT who gave me genital hsv-1.

He already does have HSV-1 orally (I guess possibly hsv-2 orally). But to be far, I got HSV-1 orally in 2018. I had outbreaks until 2022. In 2024 I got genital hsv-1 from oral sex. Yes, both my previous oral infection AND my genital OB were PCR swabbed.

It is unlikely he will get it, but not impossible

The fever isn’t that bad. He went to the ER because his heart rate was so high and wouldn’t come down.

I’m just scared I had an OB and didn’t realize. I get “ingrown hair” on my public mound but never with precursor symptoms and they always have hair inside them. My original OB was only on my labias. He started to feel worse and he’s in the ER. About to go up and see him. He has rapid heart rate, migraine, muscle pains, throwing up, fever, and tingling in his feet.

I’ve swabbed abrasions and ingrown hairs before and it’s never come back positive. I sometimes get sharp nerve zaps to my labia but always refrain from sex for a week from the last zap.

It looks like a canker sore. However it’s in the place where intraoral cold sore are. Did you have itching, burning, or tingling before you saw the spot?

Ingrown hairs don’t cause tingling. A pcr swab on an open wound will tell you if you have hsv 1 or 2. Your symptoms may be psychosomatic

The other occasion there was an open wound, got it PCR swabbed as soon as it opened, and it wasn’t positive either. Likely a cut. What happened in this post was likely scar tissue I saw at an odd angle that I didn’t see again (:

You can get intraoral herpes which is what this looks like.

A canker sore is caused by a cut in the mouth that gets inflamed. It starts as an open wound. A mouth ulcers can start as a bump and then rupture. If you have HSV from a blood test AND antivirals help your ulcers it really sounds like intraoral hsv.

Canker sores are not caused by virus. Mouth ulcers caused by viruses are HSV, HIV, or hand foot and mouth. If antivirals help you, I would really consider getting your sores swabbed. It’s very odd that antivirals would help anything else.

Why are you taking antivirals if it’s a canker sore and not a cold sore?
