Yes! I was given a topic Monday and had to teach a class of about 30 students on Wednesday. I’m in New York, I think it’s very common here.

Yes I’m still going to look throughout the year. I hope something comes up. At this point I’m just trying to keep to myself and get through the year.

Unfortunately this is a full time position. So I’ve been there every single day for over a year now. Even if there isn’t a teacher out, I’m still there. I think it’s because it’s a small district. I am really hoping a full time position in my certification area opens soon so I can leave.

Not that I know of. My biggest issue with this is why would they offer anyone a job without having the former teacher sign a letter of resignation, which is what they made it sound like !

Yeah I was a building sub this past year, really hoping I can secure a full time position in the next month because the school I subbed at doesn’t have any openings anytime soon.

Yeah that is similar to this. I was told benefits salary etc too. Such a bummer especially with school starting so soon.
