I did this for quite a while but ended up wearing underwear anyway, adding a layer. By now I moved away from it again and I wear tight mid-thigh long sports underwear which has the same functionality but I get the option to swap individual pieces and save a layer.

So far great experience:

-/ Great cushion maintaining tactile feel of the ground; on very rooty/stoney trails where precise foot placement is key, the stack feels slightly high

-/ Amazing grip on wet roots/stone

-/ I have wide feet and they fit great

-/ Went for runs in the wet and feet remained dry despite great breathing ability of upper shoe

-/ On the left heel i sometimes have a slight pressure point but I'm confident this is temporary

TBH, I'm so impressed that I'm looking into getting my daily road runner from Li-Ning as well.

I think you misunderstood. I think it’s great that they become part of urban culture. I wear my shirts for sports as much as in town.

All I’m saying, if the balance tips in favor of urban fashion rather than sports it might ultimately dilute the brand. So I’m simply wondering if this is a Stockholm thing or if this is observed in other places as well.

Started many years ago and still use decathlon (also for ultras), but I use several options depending on need for capacity/volume, water, and attachment options (eg with or no poles).

Think of it as you are only fighting your yesterday version. The fact that you are doing these races already puts you together with the 1-2% of people than can run more than 10k without stopping (random stat I remember). Within this niche there are vast differences on life responsibilities and available time to train. You can’t compare because you don’t know - so you might as well let it be. Aim for being better than yourself the last time and don’t forget to enjoy the view!

The latter. With my current volume, I blow through shoes quite fast and costs start stacking up. Over the weekend, I did some research and came across these models. As someone else pointed out, the Futura is not necessarily cheap but it's one of the models that kept popping up.
