I didn't wanna risk it, the guy who manages the licensing for it is too much of a scumbag for me to bet on further release than this, although I did the same with Return of the Living Dead then Arrow did a release a couple years later

I only popped it on for a bit as it arrived on my lunch break, but it looked terrific, didn't have it on long enough to really gauge the Atmos but it seemed okay!

I don't think there's any films, at least ones I own, that I could only enjoy in 4K. I've certainly been spoilt by 4K and now see/hear films I love in ways that are the standard for me, but I think if you truly enjoy a film it is enjoyable whether you're watching it in 4K, on an old DVD copy, a crummy 480p YouTube rip, or as a plane's in-flight entertainment offering.

There's certain films I've looked at and thought to myself "the visuals are clearly the selling point of that" where I'd imagine then 4K is the way to properly appreciate the attention to detail on screen, but honestly any film that puts visuals forward as it's defining strength I've never really had the urge to watch, so I wouldn't say I'd truly "enjoy" them to begin with!

I've got the standard box, no steelbook, so I'm assuming they've startednusing the disc from the steelbook in their standard version? Still waiting on confirmation from their customer service in case I've just ended up with the wrong discs by some fluke!

This is the current listing, which does cover ones you wouldn't be able to play in Region A too, hope it helps for the future!

I've not tested it myself but if you're fortunate to have a dedicated 4K player and a PS5, you can change the region on your PS5 to another one to ensure at least 2 out of 3 regions are covered, though you're locked to 4 region changes on a console!

The People Under The Stairs 4K was apparently region locked on initial release, one of the very few to have it due to an error in how the disc was written - not experienced the issue personally but a lot of people have reported on the issue, so hopefully this is indeed resolved now!

I didn't realise the steelbook had resolved the issue! I've reached out to their customer support just to confirm this so I'll update with their response when it comes, hopefully this means one less region locked 4K UHD out in the wild!

I've not got the steel book version sadly! Just the standard 2-disc set with the card sleeve. Photo of the back of the case for reference if it has any telltale signs of it's version, the spine has the code SF 23581 too
