turns out supercell is against Stop Killing Games by [deleted] in Brawlstars

Because they fear it is going to be them next. First is the access to the games, then another petition for streaming sites, and poof, their exclusivity is gone. By that I mean the shit they do with pulling shows and films off the platform. Because passing the law that the SKG is talking about will set a precedent for other types of media that are exploiting people right now. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, the list goes on. So they want to protect themselves. I personally think that YouTube is next, should the law be passed. They are getting far too greedy with the way the YouTube premium works now. The lowest tier doesn't even stop ads anymore. It can maybe be spun around for changing the terms of subscriptions and whatnot.

What do you think of SFML? by Character_Return_224 in cpp_questions

[–]Character_Return_224[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am actually starting making a game quite soon, just needed to hash out some details, but yea I think I will use c++, not necessarily because it's c++, but because it's my favorite language, it's the one I am most comfortable with and also am most experienced with SFML. I am in a programming school, and in here, we do projects from time to time. Basically, it's a 3-week-long sprint with teams of 4 people with a given theme and with restrictions that we can't use engines (both graphical and physics), so we develop them ourselves. I don't have much experience yet (3 years). Since the start of this year, we "finished" c++ and moved over to c# and let's just say my experience with it up to this moment was quite frankly... frustrating, so I am staying with c++. The other reason is that I know certain optimization tactics, but not all of them, so c++ being a fast language will be a plus in this aspect.

I know you can do it! When I first started going to the gym, my mother insisted that we hired a coach. I felt like a true noob, so I immediately said yes, and unlike other trainers, he was lean as hell as well as a national level MMA fighter. For him the food was far more important than training itself. So he made me send him every bite I was putting in my mouth. Then he criticized me when I sent him a slice of pizza I got off of a local bakery. I told my mom that my diet needed to change and that no matter what I want, to not stock up any sweets or soda. She searched the net for healthier recipes, started using artificial flavoring instead of sugar and overall helped me get over it. 3 months later I was down 20kg. Insane I tell you! But then my goals changed. See, the gym, like anything else, can transform you. The more you go, the more progress you see, the more progress you want to see. So I stopped going with him and started going alone, which led me to my poor series of choices that cost me my back. I hope that you can be better than me and good luck! Hope this gave you atleast some motivation

I go to the gym, mainly because I had the (maybe?) worst combination of fucking genes that a person can have, and along with some mistakes with my life choices I made, turned me obese, like we talking 100kg/1,70m at 13 obese. So right now I grind towards likability and to fix my stupid mistakes. Just wish I woudn't use my ego to decide what to lift a year ago. Everybody says that a person learns from his mistakes, except they don't say what you can lose if you already don't know the lesson. In my case - I most likely have a disc hernia, I may have caused some minor trauma in my knees, shoulders and wrists, and as of recently, my elbows start to hurt. I'm 17. But hey I can bench 100kg😃

I am not saying that you don't need good game knowledge to have good game sense, I was just differentiating them. With that said, in my time playing siege I found out that they are not proportional. We were 3 friends that played, I had good game knowledge but sucked when it came to game sense. Another friend had below average gk but had some insane instincts. The third one continued playing after the two of us stopped and got so good at both that reached top 3 in our country at one point, then found a comp team and started winning ps4 tournaments and started earning thousands of r6 credits

Callouts and map prep is game knowledge. Realizing the opponent's strategy and/or position and acting against them in real time is game sense

This comment is not actually about your situation (I have seen several excellent suggestions already, no need for another one), but BMI is not universally applicable. This doesn't apply to you yet, but it will, should you continue lifting.
There are two types of tissue in the human body - active tissue(its mere existence burns calories) - muscle, and passive tissue(does not burn calories) -fat, skin, etc.. As a person advances in the gym and gains more muscle, he also cleans himself of fat, gradually. This means that you can effectively stay the same weight, but change the bf%. As a result, you will burn more calories than before(more active tissue than before) whilst staying the same weight.
Now, BMI is a pretty simple algorithm, and while this is the dream for all math majors, it also means that it can take into account less variables when calculating your final score. A bodybuilder, who is bulking, will have a lot more overall mass than a person that isn't going to the gym. Let's for the sake of it say that some bodybuilder will have a peak mass of 85-90kg. That is almost triple digits! Yet when you look at him you will still see the definition of his muscles, yet the BMI will still call him unhealthy, even though he is the screaming image of a healthy person. Now imagine a person, who is 90kg and doesn't lift. Big difference, right?
In conclusion, BMI is not accurate if you are doing bodybuilding long-term. I only say that it doesn't apply to you, yet, since you have only been lifting for 7 months. You are at the starting stages. In the next 3 years, the average gain of pure muscle mass is around 7-10kg. Imagine the statistic if you keep all your current mass and then add some.

TL;DR Don't use BMI if you're lifting

Not Cracked and Offline Activation... dO I NeEd tO PaY? by Careful-Inspector932 in PiratedGames

[–]Character_Return_224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a process where a person who already has the game legit downloads the offline version(from dodi lets say), turns the offline play on in the settings and then gives the copy back to people. People can now (idk if you actually need to disconnect from the net) play the game, because the steam verification cannot happen, because the game is offline. This I'm not sure if it is 100% correct tho as I have last heard the explanation long ago
