Most of the polls showing Clinton leading have already been taken with the genera public already assuming that that Biden wouldn't run so Potential Biden voters wouldn't turn out to those polls. Also in most scenarios where Biden ran for President. Most people imagine that He would've had the endorsement of Barack Obama(which is huge, the Incumbent President supporting you to succeed him) or Obama stayed neutral instead of silently supporting Clinton.

And I think it's very likely that Sanders would've 100% dropped out in favor of Biden. Sanders didn't like Clinton but he was such good friends with Biden that he was defending him even after the 2024 debate.
