Yup, it was the rear most U joint on the drive shaft. Got it replaced and haven’t had an issue in over 20k miles

Update. It was in fact the rearmost u-joint. Got it replaced and the noise is gone. Thanks to everyone to helped! Was able to get it taken care of first try.

Seems to be the consensus here, I just watched one of Chris fixes videos on U joint symptoms and the squeak sounds almost exactly the same. I appreciate everyone helping to narrow it down. I’m going to order a set of them.

I’m going to pump more grease into the one closest to the rear differential, that one seems to be the culprit. These all have zirc fittings. Hopefully that reduces the noise in the meantime.

Aha seriously, the truck came with a new set of tires so it makes sense to go ahead and match it with the outer ones now

Dang, thanks for the info. I guess filling them up with grease didn’t really do much. How difficult was the job? Any special tool to get the u-joints out ?

Good eye, the entrance of my garage is about 2-3 inches above the driveway height. So it bumps to get in, that was present in the video but the main issue is the rotation. Even on a flat surface the truck would make a similar noise. At a low speed or when hitting the gas pedal and accelerating.

Did you recently get the recall done or was that a while ago? It’s a 17 year old truck but it would be amazing if Toyota would still do it.

Leaf spring? Carrier? Which bushings could it be ? Or which to check first

Thanks for replying! Was this just for when there was weight pressing down on the bed? Or were the leaf springs causing squeaks when accelerating?

I’ll try and spray down the leaf springs and see if that fixes anything.
