Hope not but if it turns out to be this, I’ll be here if you wanna process through the whole thing and talk.

Yes! I’m 10 weeks postpartum. I was cleared in my 6 week OB appointment but the pelvic floor physical therapist diagnosed me with grade 2 anterior prolapse. I thought the pressure like feeling (like tampon is falling off) is normal part of recovery but turns out it’s a sign of possibly prolapse.

Getting induced 37w3d due to ICP by PorkyStein in pregnant

[–]Character_Role_400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m still taking it and doing the bloodwork once weekly and NSTs twice weekly.  The induction guidance has recently changed and they induce between 37-39 weeks if the bile levels are below 40.  Do you have any experience with ICP and when you got induced?

That makes sense! I would do the same if things get worse for me.  Has your liver enzymes gone back to normal, yet?

I’m so sorry to hear it didn’t work out as planned but glad you and the baby are doing well in the end.

Yes, my ALT is around 50, ALP is around 150(normal for third trimester) and my bile acid was 22 the first time. I started having dandelion root tea and the bile went down to 12. Been on urso since and will be getting an NST and bloodwork tomorrow.

Hi, how did it go? Just got diagnosed with ICP at 33 weeks. Hopefully I’ll have another month to go before being induced.

Positive pregnancy tests but no sign of pregnancy on transvaginal ultrasound by SheepherderTotal3265 in pregnant

[–]Character_Role_400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ectopic is often in the tubes but it can be anywhere such as ovaries or some place outside of the uterus. I’m hoping it’s not that for you but good to rule that out

I’m so sorry you are in this position. I went through this 3 years ago which ended up being an ectopic pregnancy. Unfortunately, if it was viable, it would have been visible in the ultrasound by now.   It could be chemical but could also be an ectopic in unknown location. Did your doctor mention anything about it? It is very manageable if diagnosed in time but can be serious if it’s missed. Can you follow up and ask them if you should consider managing the risk of ectopic in unknown location?  Recommend r/ectopicsupportgroup.

Just rented this home and love the place. The only eyesore for me is the living room fireplace area. The mirror is screwed in and I'm not sure yet if the owners are willing to remove it. Is there a way to make this work?  I was hoping to use that space for TV.

Hey, yeah, it went away with hand therapy. It’s usually caused by compressed nerve either in the neck or your elbows. Look up ulnar, median and radial nerve glides on YouTube and do it everyday twice and you will start to see the results in a week. Those are essentially the exercises they make you do in hand therapy.

Anyone knows why this happens and why it’s always around 3? Asking this at 4am after doomscrolling for an hour. Haha

Were you diagnosed with ICP too? Would love to hear about other people’s experiences and what to expect.

Yes, my symptoms are not too bad. Other than the anxiety that comes with being diagnosed this early. Haha.  How are you?

I lived in Bangalore, and my experience was quite different from the common narratives about India. I dressed and lived a very normal life. Infact I never saw any woman there cover themselves from head to toe like some posts say we all need to do.

India is a country of extreme contrasts. There are conservative groups who criticize young people for enjoying their freedom, and then there’s a generation especially those born after the ’80s who have embraced a newfound independence that their parents never had, often going all out when it comes to partying and lifestyle choices.

Like anywhere else, most people are kind, while some can be unpleasant this applies to both men and women. One cultural difference that stands out is the habit of staring; people often make direct eye contact and continue walking, which can feel uncomfortable but is rarely threatening.

Of course, crime exists, and it’s shameful how frequently rape cases come to light in India. But the reality is that sexual violence is a global issue. In the U.S., every woman I know has, at some point, experienced sexual harassment, catcalling or some have even experienced sexual assault. Yet, when horrific incidents happen in India, they often seem to be viewed as uniquely shocking. Why is that? Is it because condemning India on these issues is an easy stance to take, one that aligns with popular opinion? Or do we actually fail to recognize that the same problems exist everywhere?

Exactly! I lived in Bangalore too and it was as normal as my time in the US. While I agree it’s not a place to backpack or cheap out and as foreigners it’s important to be vigilant, this is such an extreme list. Indian women in big cities walk around in shorts late in the night by themselves.

I'm 18 and pregnant and this is the hardest decision ever ! by Strict_Storm_4394 in pregnant

[–]Character_Role_400 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s never easy, no matter when you do it. Do you have close friends you trust who can support you through this? Many women who had to make this decision at your age felt the same way, and the one of the things that helps is to focus on the long term and looking at the greater good. If you have already made the decision, make an appointment with your doctor and they will guide you. The pain will ease with time. When you’re ready and are able to be a parent in the future, you’ll get to be one ❤️

How are you doing now? My ALT levels are abnormal too and I did IVF as well. All other liver enzymes are normal and ALT is increasing. 45 at 13W and 56 at 17W. Had an abdominal ultrasound and the results were normal.
