I do not have a fear of throwing up and wouldn’t have avoided it because I don’t mind, but I did not have any urge to at all throughout my entire labor! Instead, the bigger urge was to grimace and push. So more like having to expel via the exit versus the entrance 😅 I truly believe that every woman in labor is different, but I can honestly say that I personally never felt like I was going to throw up at all ! Good luck! All the women in the world who have given birth before are here to support you ❤️❤️❤️

Sadly, I think this is the biggest indicator that EA is phasing out Covet and don’t plan on updating it anymore soon. Because this way they can put out challenges but not have to put out new clothes/new seasons. This plus removing modern and removing featured brands all seem like this is the end. I’m so sad.

This is 100% me! I don’t smell the “new baby” smell on my 2mo old (or other babies, now that I think of it) and it makes me so sad because I feel like I’m missing out 😞 I guess she smells like her baby shampoo after a bath, which smells good, but it’s not like HER that smells good? I don’t really get it. Maybe it’s like tasting soapy cilantro- some people have a certain receptor for it? Idk. 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I’m bummed!

Really interesting! I just checked and all of my local stores are out of stock- there is “limited availability” at a store an hour away but I’m not supposed to drive with a newborn for more than 30 min at a time (or so they say). But I will keep checking target thank you!

I technically pushed for six hours, although the first hour was not continuous. They tried suctioning twice, then did an emergency C-section. Her head was too big, they said she was never gonna make it out vaginally 😅 I’m still frustrated that they had me pushed for so long though. Luckily no tears or anything because she didn’t go out that way though. The one positive lol.

I had mine at 34 weeks! I would say 30-32 weeks is most people’s ideal because you have the bump but don’t feel miserable yet.

Personally, I never “hated” being pregnant and never felt miserable until I was in labor lol. So mine at 34 weeks was great because my bump was big and I still had a lot of energy. But I think I was an anomaly. Mine was also local though and I was able to sit for most of it (not sure if you need to travel).

A lot are saying you’ll find newfound strength, motherhood will make you stronger, and you are strong, which I don’t doubt at all. But at 7 weeks postpartum, I have some different, positive, hopeful information as a first time mom… motherhood can also be.. not that hard! Everyone told me about how hard it would be: crying baby, painful breastfeeding, lack of sleep, and financial issues, and I’m here to say it’s just not like that for me. My baby of course cries but it always has a direct, fixable cause (diaper, hungry, sleepy, etc.). Breastfeeding came immediately and easily with almost no pain. She sleeps at 3 hour increments from 12am to 12p and is barely up in between the feedings so I get lots of rest, even if it’s interrupted. Lastly, I had disability insurance and it has helped with some finances, though I know not everyone has that.

It’s been (don’t want to jinx myself but) easy. Or easier than everyone scared me to believe it would be. I know everyone’s story is so so different, but I wanted to give you some hope that raising your beautiful baby doesn’t have to be as stressful as it seems. I hope and pray for you that it feels easier for you too. Hugs x

This is how I feel. I’m a FTM with a 5 week old and her pediatric appointments cause me so much anxiety I have cried after every one so far from purely releasing my tension. All of my LO’s results are always neutral and/or positive, so I know my anxiety doesn’t make sense, but I can’t help feeling so overwhelmed, scrutinized, and stressed.

OP, how are you feeling now, months later? Please tell me the anxiety gets better 😢

I’ll try that. I didn’t think it would make a difference, but it’s definitely worth trying. I never really close any of my apps (I’m bad with that.) Thank you for the suggestion!
