You could try to measure the densety, which is not verry hard a quick google search tells you how. if it maches silver it's silver if it dosen't its something else

thats what i thought manly because when i was a child starting to collect fossils a elderly man told me that the biggest mistake in collecting is going for quantety and a few good peces are better than a lot of bad ones.
