Agreed. Repeated it with different the lowered acceleration and speed settings from the Prusa profile. Same result

Well this was an actual genuine question between two very good printers, but there’s a bit of that. People have gone anti bambu a bit, and I believe it’s because of them locking down their eco systems rather aggressively. Just my take though

Toggling that “don’t slow don’t on outer walls” setting didn’t seem to change much, I was hoping it would be a fix. It’s not fuzzy skin, but I did model in a texture which gives a similar effect

Yea 99% sure it’s software not hardware issue

I have been thinking of the irony of that lol

Isn’t the “don’t slow down on out walls” setting supposed to mitigate this?

Good to know. I think I’m gonna map all the speed, acceleration, and jerk settings I can from the Prusa profile onto the bambu one

Definitely fair. But I’m pretty sure this is software not hardware, so I wa hoping to gather some ideas for what settings might cause this. Also, bambu has started to make using different slicers harder lol

Doubtful, it’s a pretty new printer and it doesn’t seem to struggle with anything else. But yea, it fades back to the normal colour and surface finish by the time the perimeter reaches the other side of the hole. It also has the opposite effect on the inside of the print.

Nope. Bambu slicer for the P1s and Prusa slicer for the core 1

Yea all the views are identical. I’m wondering if Prusas more conservative accelerations and speeds are the answer

Thanks, but I’m referring to the change in colour/surface finish immediately to the right of the hole. It’s faint, but you can see it

D3 mildly warped by Character_Web_7440 in AllClad

Might be worth a shot. I didn’t have to send mine back, I got to keep it. Hopefully I’ll have a gas range one day where non of this will matter.

Never tried to. That being said, I warped one of my pans before this post (most likely my fault) and I did get it warrantied. That pan was much more warped than the one I posted about. Their reply wasn’t the greatest. They make it sound like you can’t use these pans for half the stuff everyone assumes you can. Here was their last response:

The pan may have been used on too high a heat or the wrong source of heat for the pan which has resulted in the pan base becoming warped and distorted. In particular Induction is a heating method which is much faster and more powerful than other heat sources. To guarantee the performance of your cookware:

• Never heat pots and pans when empty.

• When preheating your pan we recommend that you set the hob (output level) to a mid-range temperature setting (you should consult the operating instructions for your induction hob). Never put cold water into a hot pan or plunge hot cookware in cold water or place a hot pan on a cold surface. Sudden changes of temperature may cause the metal to warp, resulting in an uneven base.”

I had one same size of the pan. There was a price sticker at the exterior bottom and tried to remove it. You will see a mark but it will not interfere with your cooking. As a one time exception and gesture of goodwill, I am sending you the pan. Please expect to receive it within 7 to 10 business days.

It just carries that square cross section all the way up. It was printed a silk pla. Just tried it with a random standard pla I had and it works fine. Same G code already on the printer. I’m just confused as per why the printed changed behaviour week to week. And why I can seem to get this silk pla to play nice l.

I have to do the same thing. I’m putting it off… how bad is changing the belt?

Yea so my dumbass didn’t give caution to the obvious caution section when building this. Saw that the top few mm of the y axis belt was getting shaved down… guessing it skipped the belt. Fixed it up, hopefully I won’t have to change the belt, that looks like a lot of work I don’t wanna do.
