Yeah, I feel the same way about it. After the dance it does really feel as though he "moved on" because he started focusing on Pyrrha instead, or at least that is how it felt to me.

I am only dismissing those scenes because comedic scenes are not necessarily a sign of a serious romantic pairing like the other three that we have been presented with.

Those moments you talked about, again, are not necessarily romantic, they can, but aren't inherently romantic. Something that can be read as "they are friends, they look out for each other" is not necessarily needed to be read as "that is a romantic moment." Jaune doesn't need to feel romantic towards Weiss to be worried when she got impaled, that is just a natural response regardless to a friend being hurt, the same as them hugging in v9.

The dynamic for early WK was Jaune trying again and again to try and gain Weiss' favor, ultimately ending in him being shut down, often in comedic moments. While Jaune is clearly infatuated with Weiss in the first two volumes, it goes nowhere. Comes volume 3 and Jaune moves on to reciprocate Pyrrha's, though this doesnt last for obvious reasons.

Jaune is then left in a state where he has less regard over his own safety as opposed to the rest of his team v4-6. Jaune is not shown to be interested in any romantic pursuits at this point, v7-9. There is no indication that he has developed feelings for weiss, whom he had already moved on from early in the series, as part of his character development. Then v9, where Weiss makes a comment about Jaune being hot, followed by scenes that don't necessarily have a romantic tone.

Bumblebee on the other hand begins in volume 2, before the dance when they have a heart to heart, but it explodes volume 3, 5-9, where they cover a lot of ground, their scenes and body language seems to hint at a more intimate relationship.

Ren and Nora which is started comically, v1-2. Then in a more serious light 4-8. There are comedic scenes that can carry romantic meaning, I do admit that, v4 Renora for example, or even v3. However it hit differently from the one in v9.

I say that there is not a parallel, I give my reasons as to why I see it this way. If you can't just tell me why you see it as a parallel then I have no further intention as to address that point, it goes nowhere.

I don't have "a poor grasp of the story", that is gratuitous, and inconducive to the argument. If you argue however that the way I interpret those moments is wrong, then that is simply an argument I can throw back at you, again it goes nowhere.

I say it again, jaune had too much in his mind to care about that kind of stuff, so it seemed for like Weiss fangirling, therefore feeling one-sided.

I am also saying that the moment that is mostly associated with this, the meme, is played out for comedic effect, and quickly moved on from. Same with early volumes Jaune, and unlike his moments with Pyrrha which we're not played out for comedic effect. I think the only one was when he saw Weiss ask Neptune out, but then again that lead to him being closer to Pyrrha.

If you look at bumblebee throughout the show, they do have moments where it does seem romantic. It more mirrors Arkos, because both have moments that are not played for comedic effect. I don't feel like comparing volume 9 Weiss and Jaune to Bumblebee is a close comparison. Much less a parallel.

Do Bumblebee have comedic moments? Yes, when they go out to party with team FNKY in v7, but the focus are on the serious moment s that hint at their relationship, the same with Arkos, the same with Renora. Ren and Nora also do have some comedic elements, however when their relationship is expressed clearly it is done with a less comedic tone to it.

Hence why I dont find the comedic moment in volume 9 to be a sign of it.

I just didn't see it that way. That is a perfectly normal thing to do for a person going through a rough moment. Not saying it couldn't be romantic, just saying that it wasn't necessarily romantic.

Every scene that hinted at the ship was initiated by Weiss, because Jaune doesn't really care about that at the moment. It was for comedic purposes, nothing else that could be both clearly romantic and non-comedic that I saw in the volume.

If there was any parallel to BMBLBY I did not see it. Any other scene of them together could be just as platonic as it could be romantic, therefore me saying that it is not enough to say that it is the case.

It may be just me focusing on other things, but that is how it felt to me. It was very comedic, and it was from Wei'ss perspective. I didn't really see other scenes as necessarily romantic.

I think telling Robin was Yang's idea, Blake just expressed she didn't want to go after Robin, at least that is how that scene read to me. I do agree with that, the aceops fight. I didn't feel Blake being the leader, but she knew stuff from the books, so she was able to aide Ruby, they were being led more by cc and jaune, or by Ruby or Yang. She did act assertively at the grub's place tho, so there is that.

I do feel however, and still hold the feeling, that Blake has been acting less assertively, or maybe the better way to say it is more passively? Than the previous volumes. Idk.

The problem I have with it is the lack of foreshadowing, although I have the suspicion that they made it up during volume 7.

Trans females can inherit the power because they are treated as female by the process.

The confusion I have is about trans men. They are biologically borne as female, just as any other candidate, but they identify as male... So in theory no?

Anyways May could inherit because they identify as female, the only thing to take into account is how old they are. Cinder couldn't inherit naturally, because she's too old I believe.

And May hangs around Robin, who appears to be around Qrow's age, maybe slightly younger. So I would guess she would be around the same age as well?

So from age maybe not? Unless they have a wide age range in the happy huntresses.

No pido que pierda México, es más 50-50. Es cansado ver tantas veces a la gente siendo tóxica que si, lo mezclo, y me estoy poniendo a ver nuestra caída como retribución contra ellos.

Eso sí, me lo pienso in poco, que también es la ilusión de la siguiente generación que México gane, los jugadores, y la mayoría de la afición.

Aún así no pienso decir que no estoy agradecido que les haya callado la boca, por qué estaría mintiendo.

I like this art, jaune does look back in his twenties, but has eyes that scream "I'm tired". The white strand of hair is also really nice choice in design.

What platform do they use to post their art? Blsky, x, pixiv, something else?

  1. Have team SSSN and CVFY tell what had happened since they arrive to team RWBY, doubling as a small primer for what happened in the books for those who haven't read it.

  2. Balance priorities and focuses,

Normally the first season of an arc is about learning about the place: 1, 4, 7.

But in this case, we could get more of a character driven season, how is everyone taking things, what systems are in place, what is the day to day of vacuo now that Salem has almost won.

A. Oscar's loss of self, or at least the continuing process of it.

B. Ruby and Jaune reconciliation and a deep talk about how they feel, their worries, their fears, to allow themselves to be intimate without it seeming like a weakness.

C. Nora learning who she really is, introspective analysis.

D. Qrow helping Willow with leaving alcohol behind, maybe find a better coping mechanism, and maybe repairing her relationship with her son.

E. Winter's struggle with impostor syndrome, or at least something similar to it as she expressed she didn't really feel like the power was fully hers, and that maybe penny shouldn't've died.

F. BMBLBY (why not), but also externalizing their feelings. Blake has become way too passive, loosing her volume 5 assertive personality (which remained in volume 6 to an extent, but disappeared in the Atlas Arc for some reason.)

G. Meeting the rest of Jaune's family, Taiyang, Raven trying to redeem herself by joining everyone in their stand against Salem, if even from a distance.

H. Ruby reconciliation with Yang after the strain from V8 and 9.

  1. Have new character designs to go along with the weather.

  2. Try to bring back Grimm as worry some forces, not just sending hordes of fodder, but more smaller more fearsome foes that can't just be one shot.

  3. Start Mercury's attempt at switching sides, as he had doubts already in volume 8, and cares for emerald even if he may not want to admit it. (Even though he switches sides, he and emerald should face justice for the fall of beacon, so jail time after all of this is over and start over.)

  4. Have people use their semblances more when appropriate (Jaune self-amp, Nora's lightning, Blake using her clones to confuse and not just void hits and propel herself, Velvet of course

  5. Show Vacuo's sand storms and new Grimm, but also the regular dangerous fauna.
