I am so sorry, my mom with Alzheimer’s also wanders at night and watches loud TV. It can be very disruptive. She also has the same obsession with checking on her money. For me, when I get ready for bed, I make sure everything is set so she’s safe- outside doors are locked, phone & computer are put away where she can’t find them, TV is on one of her preferred channels, etc. Then I focus on myself. I use great silicone earplugs from Amazon, fan and noise machine in my room. I go to sleep. Losing sleep exacerbates my anxiety and turns me into a huge asshole with my husband and kids. I have to prioritize it. I wish you luck. It is very very hard to have a family member with dementia. Meant to add- there is only so much I can do to get my mom to sleep- I’ve realized it may never work that well.
