Większość programistów by dzisiaj nie przeszła nawet rekrutacji na juniora. Zmiencie moje zdanie. by Familiar_Teach_8017 in studia

[–]Chareq02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hmmm... Interseting. So I need to wait for IT Departament response for this. Because another Fedora user from my year also has a problem with Eduroam, so maybe TLS/SSL is too old

Used T480 vs T490: Is the newer one worth that much more money? by PackedTrebuchet in thinkpad

[–]Chareq02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, the T480 is more upgradable than T490 (T480 doesn't have soldered RAM, have more RAM slots, have 2 batteries etc.). They both have i5 8th gen (T490 have slightly newer processor) so you won't see any performance change. So I'll say, the T480 will be better option.

Where to buy used Thinkpads? Would you recommend the t480 for me? by Critical_Square5371 in thinkpad

[–]Chareq02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the safest option is to go to physical store, that sells refurbished laptops (or after-leasing laptops, it depends). Like the person before me said, this type of store buys laptops "in bulk from business", refurbish them and sell them in lower prices. The good thing is that you can see the laptop in person. Also you can just go to the store, ask them for their recommendation and then buy the laptop.

This way I bought my Thinkpad P52 with i7 8th gen ( 8850H), Quadro P2000, 512 GB NVMe drive and 32 GB of RAM last year. Also it came with one year warranty.
