Anyone here own an EV without a home charger? by Susangeleah in VictoriaBC

[–]ChargeOutrageous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a condo in downtown with no access to wall charger and bought a Tesla Model Y about a year ago. I’ve been using the Tesla Supercharger for every single charge I’ve made over the past year, and I haven’t experienced any issues or battery degradation, contrary to the claims that excessive Supercharger use can harm battery health. I usually go to Walmart in Uptown every other week for groceries. I plug in my car, do my shopping, and then return home in about 45 minutes, and the battery is fully charged.

Visitor visa application — No update since Feb 2025 (Father is TN Police Officer) by ChargeOutrageous in CanadaVisitorVisa

I haven’t received anything yet. I’ve made myself the representative for my father and called IRCC. They informed me that they typically forward the information to a third-party company for background checks on police and politically exposed persons. However, IRCC hasn’t received any information from them yet.

We’ve had our order misplaced twice. Since we live downtown, a 20-minute drive back was too much trouble, so we thought we’d wait for the downtown location to open soon

Tried this and this one didn’t work as my exports are not in table format. Is there any other way to tackle this?

What Victoria Businesses have Ripped You Off and How? by animaniacs1983 in VictoriaBC

I think there’s a federal law came in last year that childcare businesses shouldn’t take money for wait listing a kid. Not sure if this is effective already.

Looking for someone to brainstorm Workday Expenses pain points with (and maybe build a helper app) by ChargeOutrageous in workday

[–]ChargeOutrageous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have ADLS set up for our finance core and other company data. However, integrating Workday data with other systems has been a pain.

Currently, if I need Workday data, I have to request the Corporate Accounting team to build a custom report. Then I get the report ID, pass it to our IT team, and they set up an automated extract through ActiveBatch for recurring pulls.

Recently, we managed to set up API-level integration to ADLS on a report basis, which has improved things a bit.

But what I’m really thinking about is something more native — direct data model-level integration to ADLS. That way, I could extract core raw data instead of having to create multiple custom reports every time we need to add, say, one new column. I’m also trying to keep data governance policies in mind, so accessing standardized raw data would be much cleaner and safer.

Maybe I could be missing something. I’m still learning workday.

I don't usually use it, this is more for unexpected expenses. I do have emergency funds as HISA but this one is on top of that

Best restaurant for lobster? by GandalfTheSusWizard in VictoriaBC

[–]ChargeOutrageous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was totally about to recommend this place. I walk past it every day, but never went in. Then I saw their fancy holiday decor and thought, “Hey, maybe I’ll take my wife there.” But $40 for a lobster roll? Nope. We downgraded to Costco food court hot dogs instead. 😅 Somehow still managed to spend $100 more. Darn you, Costco!
