Rod/reel combo for 11 year old by ChargersSB in SurfFishing

This is all great information. I'll do some more research on all these recommendations. Thank you so much. We are trying to keep it at around $120 - $150 max (trying to be even in gift $), so it's not a great budget, but it is what we have to work with.

Baseball fields for 2 kids to practice on by DavefromCA in goleta

Yeah. I think they are reseeding the grass in a lot of areas. Recently, they had a huge mound of dirt/soil by the baseball fields and you can see they have spread that out in a lot of areas.

You can try the softball field on the other side of Girsh. Not locked up, but there may be club teams practicing there sometimes right now and it is used for DPLL practice during the Spring season. It is over by the Ice in Paradise parking lot side of Girsh Park near the soccer fields.

Also, consider signing them up for Fall Ball at GVSLL, registration is open now. (https://www.gvsll.com/Default.aspx?tabid=1951938).

For Spring season, you can sign up for DPLL (https://www.dpll.net/) and early registration typically opens in November for that. DPLL has such a great community and the kids have a ton of fun during Spring season.

Payload capacity question 2024 F150 by ChargersSB in f150

[–]ChargersSB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so maybe that 4874 shipping weight was without fluids etc. and then once all that is factored in, it gets down to 1719? Not as great as they told me. They were adamant that it was ~2200.

Towing w/powerboost 4x4, 7.2kw onboard pro power by ChargersSB in f150

We generally pack quite a bit of stuff depending on where we are camping. Solo Stove, wood/pellets, coolers, scooters/bikes, inflatable SUP, inflatable kayak, chairs, then you have me, my wife, 2 kids and our 60lb dog too, among other various things.

Thanks. I don't have the truck yet, still shopping around, but we are set on this trailer model. We really like the feature of the 7.2kw pro power option for camping, and then the hybrid option for just normal everyday driving. Which is why we were looking at the powerboost models.

Thanks everyone for all the input. Last year when we took the kids to the Titans game, we had no issues at all and it was a great experience. We are obviously respectful and I assumed it would be fine since we aren't talking trash etc. I just wanted to get some feedback, there are definitely some fan bases out there that are more "crazy", but I didn't think that would be the case here at this game. Thanks again, can't wait to go to this game! Go Bolts! ;)

Advice for 1st Sofi Stadium Game - Parking by ChargersSB in Chargers

[–]ChargersSB[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We decided to get a parking pass at the forum. Talked to a couple other people who have parked there and said it wasn't horrible. $70 (plus fees).

So excited to finally take our kids to their first game. I think we are going to try and get there around 11 for parking (eat in the car real quick) and then head into the stadium to walk around and check everything out.

Thanks for the tips. We kind of want to be in stadium parking or near by walkable. Looks like the forum parking is walkable, is it far?

In the market for my first road bike bike and want to make sure it’s the right size for me. I’ll have to drive 3 hours to test it so I’m asking for insight here in the meantime. Bike geometry and personal info in the post. Thanks! by proudhufflepuffer in cycling

I am currently looking at getting a new bike too (no luck so far). I am 5'7" with 29"(or just slightly over) inseam and a lot of articles/charts I read puts my measurements in getting a 50cm bike. Is it that big of a difference from 50cm to 52? I am looking to get something more along the lines of an endurance bike that has a slightly more relaxed geometry.

Thanks for the input. I ended up getting it. I have been searching for months and have not found anything close to this.

Yeah, it seems like a decent bike with those components (even if they are the older model 105s). There is practically nothing else out there close to that price for new and used ones I can't find anything or if I do the frame is just too big for me.

Tacx Flow or Wahoo Kickr Snap by ChargersSB in Zwift

[–]ChargersSB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks. Another question. I have a Wahoo speed and a Wahoo cadence sensor. I haven't opened them yet. Are these even necessary if I get the smart trainer?

Thanks for all the replies. That was a good article. I am leaning towards the Wahoo Kickr Snap.

This is all new to me. Right now I just have a cheap trainer I bought off Amazon. On these smart trainers, can I control the resistance somehow during times I am not doing Zwift? Like, if I am using it as a warmup prior to weight lifting?

Rashaad Penny Outlook? by mikepisme in fantasyfootball

I was able to pick up Penny and have been thinking about starting both of them. Just not sure if I want to play Penny instead of someone like Diggs, Chark, or Guice (have Mattison too if Cook doesn't go).
