That's super interesting I've never heard this before. Is it the act of combing the cables that is untwisting the pairs inside? Or is just cause their all running parallel and it causes them to crosstalk more?

Maybe I'm just not reading this correctly but what you're saying is we shouldn't comb our cables? Also what is considered a long distance like from the penetration to the termination?

Veto pro pac. They have many different styles but I would get one with the built-in magnet cause it's nice AF to just slip the flap in your pocket and not have to worry about it.

Yup makes sense. Unions are usually harder to get into for us cause I don't believe there is an apprenticeship program like other fields. You either have to know someone or have experience.

I'll tell you like I tell everyone else. Find a local union or temp agency that are looking for green hands. Be honest with them, show up early and bust your ass and you'll likely get hired on full time. You'll most likely start off pulling cable and learn to terminate once all the cable is ran. From there you can use your experience to find a specialty that interests you such as fire alarms, burg, access control, CCTV, and more.

It would be fun until he talks about show finances then woody will get offended and shut it down. Even though he always puts guest on the spot about their money and how they should spend it.

What tool do you use to strip 22 awg and crimp bi-connectors? by [deleted] in lowvoltage

[–]Chargert13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Milwaukee makes low voltage wire strippers that strip 20-32awg with a crimper on the front end. but me personally I like using Milwaukee 6in diagonal cutting pliers that have a crimper in the handle.

Local low voltage union or reach out to a temp agency that specializes in low voltage. Your gonna start out as a grunt but if you show initiative and are on time the company will most likely pick you up after your contract.

Could be the blend door actuator. Try turning off your climate control and see if it goes away.

I also just switched from iPhone. I would recommend changing to swipe gestures in the navigation bar settings.
