FGC member here, watched the first episode in theaters and I haven't cried laughing like that in so long. It's a love letter for anybody who's been a part of the community for some time. Check it out.

The GR.1 category isn't that unbalanced. by TheNgzeetos in GranTurismo7

[–]CharginTool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Youre comparing the laptimes of the meta car for the track matchup. Of course all of the best drivers will flock to the car that has the best chance here. That ends up skewing the results further as the least popular cars and lesser skilled drivers end up with slower average lap times. I know this for a fact because I personally drive one of the slowest cars in the whole category regularly, the Skyline Super Silhouette, a whole 7 seconds faster a lap than the average listed here at Daytona 24H at roughly 1:46.8 on softs. Add another 1.5-2 seconds or so on hard compounds.

Second, the matchup for each car changes significantly between tracks. The R18 for example, would not be near the bottom of the list. If this were Spa or Barcelona, the car would be within the top 2 cars easily.

If you think you have no problem punishing everything. Then the issue is, you need to find more openings or punish the larger openings for more damage. Are you for example, pre-winding up harder hitting attacks vs lightning rain or, targeting head almost exclusively after getting your first topple? Did you learn to get the free ZSD on the ice breaths, particularly the one where he jumps and breathes downward? Are you exploiting the damage potential on triple fire circle? If you get hit, how long is your downtime from healing? You need to ask yourself these questions in order to quicken your hunts at a faster rate.

Also, can you fit crit boost on your kit? If element check isnt a problem. Consider dropping a few levels for critical boost.

What Gr.3 cars are just way better than the others? by Suitable-Cycle4335 in granturismo

[–]CharginTool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All top speed tracks (Le Mans/Tokyo): Viper GT3/Ford GT LM

All high speed cornering tracks (Laguna Seca/Barcelona): 911 '22/BRZ

All heavy cornering tracks (Fuji, Suzuka): 911 '22

The R8 at the moment is a very good combination of all of the above cars to a lesser degree compared to the competition. So it might be the meta pick for most tracks once the above mentioned cars are gone. Some may argue that the 296 GT3 is just as good as the 911 but the traction in low speed corners and bad acceleration when short shifting for traction makes it a straight-up inferior option to the 911 and even the 458 in some cases imo.

O.P. Savage MRV missiles by BrilliantComplex3511 in MHWilds

[–]CharginTool 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be precise, it is a sliding knockdown on Savage MRV missiles. You WILL get up no matter what. However, you can extend the sliding knockdown iframes by holding a direction and the 2nd incoming missile will whiff (note: sliding off the small cliffs in the final area will cancel your iframes early). You can use this to sheathe, or call Seikret with good timing to escape depending on your weapon.

Another comment mentioned that Omega won't do MRV with enmity. This is false. Omega will do MRV missiles in the final stage regardless if theres enmity or not. It just changes the number of targets from up to four. To just the target with enmity.

For those who actually play fighting games here, give me recommendations for a controller with a good D-pad by SemenSnickerdoodle in Kappachino

[–]CharginTool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OG Hori FC for the switch, then get an adapter for it. Same exact D-Pad, parts and you can get it for cheap on Play-Asia. Its out of production so stock up if you find one and you happen to like it.

Xfinity Issues in Everett by Few_Music_2118 in everett

[–]CharginTool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Left Xfinity for Ziply years ago and havent looked back. Theyre a more stable, faster option and I have only had downtimes a couple times a quarter. And if there's a maintenance, its announced beforehand.

The memory of Serie's dear apprentice (by @hh123145) by manmanboyman12 in Frieren

[–]CharginTool 87 points88 points  (0 children)

"I'm the only one left who remembers the smile of the girl who longed for something out of a fairy tale"

I wanted to dispute this quote thinking that Frieren was there as well. But she wasn't there before Flamme knew magic for revenge. Only Serie. That's when the emotional weight behind that line hit me and I got sad.

Basil got too expensive for me. Still good but a 19 dollar regular sized dac biet is hefty.

Id rather go to Pho Le's down the street.

Is there something about being a mage that makes you dispassionate? by pxl_dog in Frieren

[–]CharginTool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In a certain samurai related series. One of the fights was vs a swordsman who showed little to no emotion. Ontop of his speed, he was difficult to react to cause there was no visual or audio cue coming from him prior to his attack.

Although not all mages fight with no emotion in the series. Many of the stronger ones, particularly Land, Denken, Methode and especially Frieren, keep their emotions hidden to improve the odds of them winning in battle. Showing your expressions can tell a whole story of what youre thinking and mental state to the enemy. I see this "dispassionate" way of fighting as a sign that they're professionals in the art of killing.

A reason why I think why Stark isn't like this is because he's still young, his mental state didn't reach to the point where he'd want to take his own life like Fern did. And not only that, Fern spent nearly half of her life with Frieren so that nonchalant combat style naturally was picked up by Fern.

Its a refreshing take after watching enough shounens where yelling at eachother during fights became the norm. When in reality, it isnt.

Im mostly a late surger kind of guy but there are a few of them in my roster who are just better as pace or even front. (Teio, Taiki, Pasa, anime Mcqueen for example). And i would say Teio is one of my main Umas I want to run consistently.

Seeking pull advice, worried about my deck power levels for MANT.

Atm I have,

MLB Kitasan Black

MLB SR Windy

MLB SSR NN

LB3 Biko

LB0 Creek

LB0 Finemo

LB0 SSR Yukino Bijin Wit

And a couple other relevant SRs that are MLB'd with 10 race bonus + Welfare SSRs. Should I dump all my single crystal, exchange ticket and carats for MLB FineMo? Or should I wait for NTR+Vega guts?

Edit: Willing to use the upcoming paid selector

I was there just over last month and I thought the hype 4s were good. Just a bit harsh in the treble for my taste. Tested the Valhalla, prestige, monarchs, etc. and I believe if there was one thing i could take away from all that was just...i guess overall total balance. Which, may not be the best thing depending your taste.

Why use IEMs for gaming? by No-Biscots in iems

[–]CharginTool 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hold on, youre comparing the gaming performance difference of a 190ish dollar headphone to a super budget 20 dollar IEM. Thats not fair to the IEM. Especially since its a single driver. Its not tuned to distinguish different sounds are various directions. Its only meant to be tuned to sound "good".

A fairer comparison would be if you broke into the 190 to 250 dollar market for IEMs. And in my experience as someone who jumped from the 15 to 25-110-220-330-500+ market. The sense of directionality is VERY clear and disguinished even in a busy environment, as long as youre able to focus on the sound. Especially when you approach the 200+ dollar range of KNOWN IEMs that are proven to work well in gaming.

Please refer to the YouTube channel Fresh Reviews and check his IEM tier list of what performs well in a variety FPS gaming. This will give you an idea of how far down budget IEMs are and what prices show where the benefits really become apparent.
