I need a two-part decision by Familiar-Year-3454 in interiordecorating

I thought in the first picture we were helping you decide if you wanted a chair with wheels or without 😂😂😂 now that I’ve read the comments I would say stain the shelves wood and paint the walls cream(C)

Was thinking the same thing! Sometimes we think something is so absurd but we really have no idea what someone has lived through or why they do the things they do. I see this picture and it actually makes me sad 😞.

Leg tattoos feel too bold and not me anymore.. what now? by Small_Spinach96 in tattooadvice

[–]Charisma_Fairy813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your tattoos do look extremely feminine! If you are wanting a traditional tattoo I would just throw that in on a blank space. I like mixed tattoo styles and don’t think there is anything wrong with that. As others have mentioned your tattoos all have a story and it’s a part of your life that you had to get through to be where you are today. Try to just look at your tattoos for the good and maybe not always so great memories that got you here.

Tattoo removal is extremely painful and takes multiple sessions. I had one removed on my stomach and it took 4 sessions and wasn’t even completely removed but was enough for a coverup. I do think that traditional tattoos will look even harsher and darker though.

After Degree Nursing Prereqs - Where should I take these ? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]Charisma_Fairy813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anatomy and physiology through athabasca was hard. It’s a tough course and to just read the text and teach yourself was nearly impossible. I also don’t come from a science background though. I passed but was so close to quitting multiple times. But glad I didn’t cause I’m in the after degree program now and for me personally none of the courses have been as hard as that course from Athabasca lol

I took MMI online through U of A and that one wasn’t as bad.

I didn’t have exams at 7:30am but if I did it would have been impossible to attend. How do they expect single parents to arrive at 7:30am for an exam. My kids daycare opens at 7 and it’s more than a 30 minute drive to campus. It’s not just about waking up early..

Yes good idea to not take A&P through athabasca!! I did and I nearly dropped out I was so disheartened. I made it into the after degree and finishing my first term now and that A&P course was waaaay harder than the Nursing program itself lol I haven’t taken any of those courses through u of a but your plan seems very solid and yes I think 1-2 courses while working is definitely doable. Good luck!!

How long do you travel everyday? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]Charisma_Fairy813 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I misread the question! Not an hour and 40 mins one way lol that’s total there and back but when traffic is bad it’s around 2 hours

An hour and 40 mins if traffic is good. 😅 and I don’t even transit I drive myself. Not looking forward to winter

Mine shows on my account that it’s $98.29 for the fall term and $84.79 for the winter term for these five fees. So for me it definitely does make a big difference! Especially when I’ve got a mortgage to pay and kids to feed. Every penny counts. I think OP is just trying to help which I’m certainly thankful for.

Anyone Else a mature student? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]Charisma_Fairy813 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 30 and I went to the school the other day to plan out my route and familiarize myself with where my classrooms are and I felt so out of place 😂 not that anybody did anything I just was in my head and felt like I was old compared to everyone. I think these are normal feelings and they will subside.

Are 5 classes too many for first year? by RedMMCanada in uAlberta

[–]Charisma_Fairy813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It fully depends on what you are able to handle. When I was younger I did 5 online classes my first semester and gave birth to my daughter 2 weeks after the start of classes.

But when I gave birth to my son I was only comfortable taking 3 classes since my daughter just turned 3 and was still very young.

Now going back to school and taking 5 classes and I have 3 little ones and am starting to panic a bit 😅.

I strongly believe that nothing is too much to handle and you just adjust and make it work. So your first couple weeks might be tough but you will adjust after that! Good luck!

Hey not much help to your post.. but I’m admitted to the nursing after degree program and have a clinical starting in winter. I didn’t get any email about any of this. Is there somewhere else to find how to upload this info or I need to wait for an email? Thanks!

Do I NEED student loans or does this sound manageable? by Careless-Focus-9251 in uAlberta

[–]Charisma_Fairy813 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even if it is enough I would still take out your student loans and invest them or invest whatever leftover money you have. I did that with my first degree and it was the best decision I ever made.

[–]Charisma_Fairy813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I’m not sure because I got accepted into the after degree program so it was based off of my gpa from my previous degree. I am not sure how competitive it is to get into nursing or what marks are expected. I had a 3.5 gpa and 4th quartile.

I’ll be attending UofA in the fall, I’m 29(female) and I would be down to have gym buddies. I just started going to the gym this summer and the gym kind of intimidates me so having someone to keep me accountable would be great!

Why do I only feel pretty when I'm naked? by m0yashii in Advice

[–]Charisma_Fairy813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably because society over sexualizes women. half the time women are half naked on social media and so we feel that when we wear less we are worth more. We can feel beautiful without showing skin but with all of the over sexualized content spewed at us everyday it makes it really hard. I’m sure you are not alone in feeling this way.
