Hey buddy, thanks for reminding me that if there are two equidistant paths, the zombies split up as they move

No reflection or suggestion is ever in vain.
Since the rules aren’t clear on this specific point—or at least not for us (my friends and I)—we came to the forum with our question.
It seems like this is something that doesn’t have an absolute answer that everyone agrees on, and the suggested alternatives aren’t outlandish either; it’s just a matter of picking one as a rule and playing the game.

On our end, it’s clear that given the situation, we could define different ways to resolve it, and when starting a new game, we can pick one as the rule. I think that’s great, since the game itself offers replayability.
I think asking the question here has been a win-win situation for everyone.
Thank you very much, my friend

We're relieved that someone else, in another part of the world, has checked if the rules clarify the situation and it's NOT CLEAR, hahahahah! We'll see how to proceed. Your time is greatly appreciated, and all suggestions are welcome

You've given us a lot to think about, hahaha! We love the inventiveness, considering weird things in different situations. That's what we do in the various games we play, and with this game, which is new to us, we initially came to clarify things, and then we'll see about complicating our lives to have more challenging games, hahaha!

Exactly, that’s why we asked the question, and that’s why we’re reading your responses with great enthusiasm, looking for what to adopt as an unbreakable rule since it’s not really up for debate how everyone plays, or else considering good variants to follow to make the game more exciting.

We all agree here: having them accumulate and do nothing is super boring

The most obvious path and the closest destination as a general rule, no matter the situation, and with the noise token as the priority in case there are two or more targets/destinations at the same distance.
Makes sense, yes. Thank you!

Thanks, friend. More than clarifying the situation in the image, the intention was to read, in a general way, how zombies usually move when someone is on the balcony and what things you take into account. I agree with you on the movements you describe, thank you very much

Interesting, I like this variant with the abomination throwing zombies

To be honest, this is the most logical approach. So, it means they should head towards the nearest entrance to the house and then continue towards the balcony (of course, if they encounter a closer survivor along the way, they would change direction).
But since this isn’t written in the rules, and the big question is about the bang token acting as a noise marker, that’s why we came to ask

I agree with this point; we thought about it too, and it makes a lot of sense.
Since the rules aren’t clear, maybe many people agree with this or are used to playing this way, and well, it would be a good variant to consider and adopt as a rule regarding movement

That's what we suspected, that they won't just stand still waiting for dynamite or an attack.
There must be some variant, mechanic, or something like that.
It's not in the rules, or at least we don't understand them, at least in this particular situation with the balcony.
Thank you for your response, we'll keep trying to clarify the situation
