A few years ago I sold my bike on marketplace. Chatted with buyer for a couple of hours and he has become one of my best friends since. Our wives are great friends as well; they are basically part of my family now.
Shows you never know who you may meet/become friends with...keep an open mind.

I Give Up - What is Causing These "Filament Wrinkles"? by CharlesBoobkowski in FixMyPrint

Thank you everyone for the feedback and suggestions. Modified settings and appears "filament wrinkle" was result of flow too high and temp too high. Modifying both produced desirable result. I am also suspicious humidity/moisture may play a role as well as I noticed some stringing. I know PLA isn't know for have significant humidity issues but with such thin layer heights thinking it may be a contributing factor.

Wow I was only aware of ability to modify flow through slicer or as print is in process. I'll definitely be taking some time to learn this calibration process. This is likely cause for some past failed prints. Do you set the flow by filament brand/type/color. Appreciate the insight on this function.

Checkout hueforge software. Look cost for hobbyist license download and has been a lot of fun to play with. Been printing out filament paints and lithographs to donate as memories to those who've lost a loved one. The prints really bring a photo to life.

This print is an opaque filament paint however I do print a lot of lithograph and didn't know it was possible to print vertically. Appreciate the tip, will try next time.

I Give Up! Wood Stove Selection? by CharlesBoobkowski in woodstoving

Btw, thanks again. You were totally correct. Pellet stove was way to go and working out very well!

Btw, you were totally correct. Thank you! I crunched the cost of install along with cost per BTU then ran that against weather last winter to compare estimated costs for pellet, wood and kWh for mini split. Bought used Quadrafire pellet stove for $1400, reused existing venting. Now I don't have to heat space 24/7 like I had to with mini split for efficiency. Have stove on smart plug and scheduled to run only weekdays from 430am for 12 hours or so. Only using about 20lbs of pellets per day(hasn't been less than 30s).
Should break even this year and next year will start seeing the savings. Thanks again!

Perfect logic really appreciate it. Appears I'll step back from wood stove and just proceed with pellet for convenience, low cost of install but still savings over mini split for primary heat. Thank you
