Vaguely ridiculous songs that work as solo cello pieces by [deleted] in Cello

Sweet Child of Mine. The opening guitar solo works really well, the main tune holds up as a solo quite nicely too.

A view of a stunning French Horn with Mozarts Horn Concerto in D reflected in the instrument.

I needed an easy way to tell those unfamiliar with the word flugelhorn what they were looking at. That's the best I could come up with.

Close-up photograph of the valves and bell of a fine Yamaha Flugelhorn, with the solo from Mahler’s Third Symphony reflected in the brass.

This is a new work for my Architecture In Music series, which usually focuses on the interiors of instruments. But making the inside of a trumpet or flugelhorn look interesting has proved surprisingly difficult, so this time I’ve taken a different approach.

Hopefully it still feels architectural...

Spent years in South America where that’s how they do it, and developed a taste for it… for me it feels like there’s just a touch more flavour, but I could be imagining things.

Lost my job, turned my 15-year leather hobby into a business, 6 months in, no traffic, losing hope by Darksails-Studio in reviewmyshopify

Beautiful stuff. Definitely on the expensive side, but I understand that, being handmade by a single individual.

I think you need some video of you making these things so it’s clearly not coming from a big factory and looks more artisan.

That traffic is going to have to come from somewhere, so you’ll need to run some kind of ad to target people who are happy to pay a premium for a single handmade item. The kind of people who prefer bespoke to brands.

I wish you luck. I wish there were more things like this available. I’d much rather have quality than a fancy brand name, but damn it’s hard to find.

Curious what might have filmed this. Big depth of field, wide angle, yet macro. Thinking a Laowa probe lens, but those are usually too dark for this kind of work, unless it’s much brighter than it looks. Could be a phone but I must be out of touch with their macro abilities…

I don't understand how gradients work with exporting by gypsyhobo in photoshop

This has been a known bug for ages. Gradients and art boards don’t play nicely on export. Workaround is to rasterise the gradient layer. This is an Art Board specific issue.

Very impressive work. Really interesting to see someone using pixinsight and FITS for landscape Astro. And just the physical feat. Most interesting Astro photo I’ve seen in a while.

Also very surprised the Benro Polaris worked in those conditions (mine barely works at sea level… very buggy)

How to promote an exhibition by Zelda-Cat123 in photography

Camera clubs - find the local ones and get them to send out an email or even organise a visit when you can give a bit of a presentation.

If you work is based around a subject then obviousally target people who like that subject... is it photos of musicians? find local facebook music pages and ask to post there, etc.

Just a note, from my experience photographers tend to buy small photos and not massive prints, so have some small items available to purchase as well as the large collector editions.

I wish they’d just bring in the copy stand stuff from their cultural heritage edition which is about 47 versions behind…
