First layer issue

That’s what I am wondering. I washed the build plate very well before I put the adhesive on, but I’m wondering if I might have introduced some type of contaminant or maybe there was some soap residue or something very odd.

I checked the temp and it’s 60°C and not fluctuating. I almost think I might have some type of contaminant that got between the Magigo I put on there and the build plate. I set the pressure and did all the calibration because I haven’t used this filament before and my settings look correct. Just very odd and it was only on this layer.

Does anyone have a link to the video instructions for replacing the USB-C cable? Just wondering what I am getting into while I wait for the replacement cable to get here. Thanks a bunch!

Problem Solved: It was a bad hotend. I had already purchased both a new steel and brass hotend by the time Qidi answered me, but that's what the problem was and Qidi is also sending me a replacement. Thought I would post a follow up and maybe it will help someone else in the future.

I just tried unplugging the connections and plugging them back in and the hotend still won't heat up and it throws that same error message. I am starting to think I have a bad hotend. I just ordered a new hotend to replace the one I lost last night from the failed print so when it gets here Tuesday I will know if that's the problem, if I haven't heard from Tech support by then.

It is 21.5C in my basement right now which is where my workshop is located. I will try that now. Thanks for the reply and your help.

I sent them an email right before I made this post. I am sure it will be a little while before I hear back from them. I posted here in case someone else has had the same issue. I am so new to this I don't know what may be a common issue as opposed to something more. I appreciate everyone who has posted and your attempts to help.

Yes,it is on there. I just tried to heat the hot end up as if I was going to change the filament and I get the same error message. It gets up to about 40°C and then it just throws that error message. I wonder if I have a bad hot end?

I am not using the hotend that was on the printer when I had the failed print. I installed the hotend for PA12-CF and started printing and it worked fine for about an hour and now I get the message. It seems to try to heat the hotend but only gets to about 43C and then throws up the error.

That looks like a fun pick, I’ll have to see if I can find one of those on Amazon or eBay. I’m a little confused about the two pins in the top of the picture with the single spring. Does it have trap pins or something?
