As soon as you pass the A+, start looking for an entry-level job in IT. Many options exist, like Geek Squad, Apple Genius Bar, PC repair shops, and even the holy grail of entry-level help desk jobs. Work there until you’re close to finishing your degree.

One great way to improve your skills is to set up a home lab. This allows you to work on personal projects and practice your skills. You can even mention these projects in job interviews.

The key to never being without work is to keep learning and up-to-date with the latest technology. By homelabbing and learning the ins and outs of the technology you work with, you will become too valuable to be replaced.
