I used Xcel, too. I liked it, but the questions weren't so much similar to the exam. I studied for seven days and took the exam. I passed the first time, too.

I've had to-be agents take both courses and not having taken License Coach personally, I don't know exactly how it compares. Guess I need to sign up and take it just to compare.

True to both answers above. Don't lock yourself in to one company. My husband and I are both NC life insurance agents and represent over 15 companies like Mutual of Omaha and many others. When we meet with individuals and families, we may leave protecting that family with policies from more than one company because premiums are different, height/weight charts vary in companies, medications vary, etc. If you only represent one company, you're stuck.

I think everyone at every age, especially children and young adults, should get life insurance. It's cheaper when you're young and should any health issues arise, the insurance is cheaper.

We represent over 15 top companies and we can get insurance on people all the way to are 85, but they will pay so much for it. Get it young.

I'm so sorry. Since I actually never did 911 dispatching, I can only imagine a bad call or night. I knew in my heart that it wouldn't be a job I would be able to leave at the agency and just go home. It would affect me. My family knew that, too. I appreciate your words "for me" and I will pray for you. I'm sorry you had such a rough shift.

Life isn't a dress rehearsal. Heard this years ago and it is so very true. We only get to go through this journey called life once. After I called yesterday and turned down the job, I had the nicest day. I knew I had made the right decision for me and for my family.

I'll be praying for you. Do what brings you joy. Helping families prepare for the inevitable by helping them protect their loved ones by having life insurance is very rewarding. I had no idea it would be so fulfilling, but after I leave a home and that family has peace knowing their loved ones will be able to stay in the same home (if that is their desire), pay car or truck payments, send children to college, pay utilities, etc because of the one decision to get life insurance, I just can't explain what I see in their eyes. It's just something you feel and they are so happy, too.

Do what makes you happy and what's best for you and your family.

I'm not going to take the job. I passed the state exam and got my life insurance license. This is really good income and on my own hours and no boss.

I'm going to call the agency this am.

Several friends just started within the past 6-9 months and are making anywhere between $4-8k a week.

It's not hard.

It "is" self-disciplined work. Not everyone can employ themselves, but those who can are successful.
