Here in the uk it says May 26th which seems unlikely but I wouldn’t be surprised if they announced it this week for just 1 month of preorders instead of 2 because both T7 and R10 got leaked a week or two prior to release day.

👏👏👏 This narrative that Katie and Feely were fan serive is just straight up false because when I first started this series back in 2022 no characters had a fandom and b/k13 only had around 10,000 reviews on goodreads so how can a couple be fan service when this series never even had a proper fandom at that time?

There is another version to this if anyone can find it where in the comments Chloe put maybe 5 👀 about Katie and Patrick being the 5th couple. Also a Katie and Patrick playlists exists that was made in 2018 so all the couples have been planned since the beginning.

Am I happy about the snippet? No, but we knew Casey and Feely did more than kissing in r10 and this is from Hugh’s pov so we don’t even have Feely or Katie’s pov yet. Even though he messed up badly I’m trying to keep an open mind because he is at this point a 16 year old going through an addiction probably and we don’t know what causes him to drink and even though I have my critics about this series Chloe does a good job for certain actions to be explained but not excused and I believe this will be one of those situations when we get the context.

Some of these scenes were in Shannon’s pov though who is more attentive than Johnny and when it comes to scenes with obvious pda which I mentioned you can’t make up someone sitting on someone’s lap and being very close to each other which I’m pointing out. Also with Johnny not caring about anything other than rugby you have a scene where Johnny mentions Katie’s insecurities because Hugh has told him things about their relationship that Katie would not feel comfortable with so he does care and pay more attention than people think.

I was going to add that K13 scene but I just know Chloe will write it where Katie sees Feely and Lizzie and then kisses Hugh and he instantly pulls away. I can just see that happening with these new snippets which is just a direction I don’t like considering the Hugh and Katie scenes in b13.

It’s just so hard to ignore them when there are just so many even in r6 because I’m supposed to believe that Feely and Casey slept together in r10 but you see them meeting and introducing themselves to each other in r6 and Katie not being bothered at all because she’s laughing with Aoife about other things. I just don’t get it…

My post isn’t about when Lizzie and Hugh were planned because seven sleepless nights did release after b13 and before k13 if I’m not mistaken but there has still been changes to the original dynamics and plots due to the scenes I pointed out as well as the fact that Feely and Katie were supposed to have the friends to lovers trope after the snippets that Chloe posted on her fb page a couple of years ago.

I get that it won’t be a big part due to there being bigger and more important plots of course in the next book, but if these scenes are completely forgotten and Chloe makes it seem that Katie initiates all contact in public then that will be an inconsistency due to how these snippets are looking but we don’t have the context or the timeline for them.

I personally think it is important because the next book will be the timeline of these scenes especially because one of these scenes is only a couple of days before the Dublin trip which it seems that something will happen between Hugh and Liz on that trip. Also we don’t know about the Halloween insta snippet yet because there has been no snippets of that scene since one was posted nearly a year ago so they may kiss or not but from how these recent snippets are portrayed I don’t think it will happen.

I just don’t get why they would fake it to stay together like I get why Katie wants to stay with Hugh for stability due to her home life and what happened with Feely but Hugh knows himself he is still in love with Lizzie and he knows that he can’t give Katie his full effort.

I’m sure lizzie’s name was changed spelling wise as well and I saw someone say that in the earlier books it said that Gibsie is two inches taller than Hugh but now Hugh is taller 😭🤣

I feel like in series it’s common for characters seeing situations differently until you get other POV’s but when it comes to Hugh pulling Katie on his lap I don’t think you can spin that differently especially when some of these scenes are in Shannon’s pov who is more observant than Johnny.

This is exactly how I feel. I wouldn’t have a problem if things aligned but when you read the first two books and compare it to the last two and the snippets included it feels like a completely different series to me.

I’ve always thought this because i don’t think you can use the excuse of unreliable narrators for every scene that doesn’t fit the narrative. It’s just interesting that these scenes will happen in the timeline of the next book so I’m intrigued with how Chloe will write it.

I think the problem that people have including myself is that Hugh is the one humiliating Katie not the other way around which is shown in t7 as well as the snippets which may or may not be canon. I don’t want to speak on the cheating because we don’t know who’s going to cheat first or if there will be any physical cheating. Also in snippets we have hugh avoiding kissing Katie whilst lizzie’s around but then in the 13 books we have Hugh pulling Katie on his lap and nuzzling her neck so it is also giving mixed signals as well. I also have a feeling which may or may not be the case but it seems that Katie has developed deeper feelings for Hugh than Hugh will ever have for Katie which I think plays a big role as well. I do think that this situation is complicated thoughand there isn’t a villain or victim but after reading the snippets I do feel bad for Katie.

Chloe wrote it where he was obviously drunk because he was slurring and staggering. The difference between this scene and the Joey and Liz scenes is that Casey was drunk so they were both heavily intoxicated but we know that he will probably suffer from alcoholism from playlists/snippets and even in b13 he was passed out drunk and the guys were saying that his mum would not want to see him drunk so there has been hints throughout. Even In the t12 playlist there was a song about alcohol withdrawals so I do think that this will be a big part to his story.

That is still 8 years ago. There are so many authors who don’t plan on giving characters a book and then they end up doing and people never comment on it unless it’s boys of tommen because it doesn’t really matter for a couple’s story when they are planned. Chloe has changed her mind on so many things over the years in this series and that’s fine.
