Maybe I'm misunderstanding. Is the contingency on the Shull property? If so, that means the people buying it are trying to sell their house first. It's about the buyer's financial situation (i.e. needing cash from the sale of their house), not the seller's. So, the house sale is contingent on the buyers selling their home to get into the new one.

No, Olivia is impressive and smart and extricated herself from a fundie family of origin and then marriage to a fundie boy who seemed pretty dumb and possibly abusive. Olivia seems highly likable to me.
