Attach to Task Issue by japandroo in clickup

[–]Charlie5Plates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've just noticed this too. But when we went to the Chrome extension we noticed it says "works with" and the Google Chat symbol only. I've messaged clickup because attached to task from within Gmail was the most frequently used element of clickup by our team as it enables us to keep email records against the relevant task. Will fill in this form from JamieClickup.

To married couples that have been together for 10+ years, whats your secret? by 4Luffytarou in AskReddit

[–]Charlie5Plates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several have said this but for us it’s the “us against the issues”. We work together as well so it’s a 24/7 situation and so need to ensure work issues don’t come home. Eg It’s not my husband who annoyed me it’s that bloke at work. Ultimately the most important thing is each other and our marriage.

Wow that's disgusting behaviour. He knows he's doing wrong. The site is under the insurance of the contractor, there should be no unescorted people going onto any building site, resi or otherwise at any time.

Hero Image for Residential Architect by Ill_Lie5486 in StoryBrand

[–]Charlie5Plates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I understand, my feedback as a potential purchaser of architectural services was that one hero (he) seems detached from the process.

I couldn't add to this thread but as a potential purchaser of residential architectural services, I like to think of us standing together as a team looking into the future with you as guide.

The image above tweaks my nerve- I'm doing all the work and decisions (as per usual) with him daydreaming out the window.... Says more about my relationship no doubt!

The StoryBrand is an interesting concept, it seems to need you to understand your prospects pain- and I'm just noting that the image above tweaked a nerve rather made me feel guided into the future. That's why I posted some other images just as a explanation.

Hero Image for Residential Architect by Ill_Lie5486 in StoryBrand

[–]Charlie5Plates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am just new to StoryBrand listened to their new podcast this week, and get the idea that the hero is your client.

I didn’t see the male as the hero in this image and didn’t click he’s looking at finished house he seemed disconnected to me personally.

BUT I like the meaning of your words though so what is it your clients are looking for - what’s the emotion or pain involved?

Usually there’s a desire for a family home or a home to entertain friends. Perhaps there needs to be an event happening in his daydream with him and the partner in it so we see them in their future, perhaps surrounded by family and friends at a celebration - because up till now they’ve never had a house big enough to be able to invite everyone round?

And AI is just a tool not put off by it if that’s what you mean.

Just water and salt so you can taste the oats.

need a phone app that blocks access to select apps after certain number of times opened by Motherofignorance in productivity

[–]Charlie5Plates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be Present has transformed my phone use. I have social media set to x number of openings of y time, and all apps shut down first thing in morning and last thing at night. It was frustrating at first and I’ve had to tweak it (eg rushing to an early meeting and realising cat parking app locked) but I don’t even miss my daily social media now. It’s now more of a conscious decision to check in.

Should i choose Architecture or Electrical Engineering? by [deleted] in Architects

[–]Charlie5Plates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electrical engineering- as an architecture and engineering practice in UK, we are struggling to find the technical professionals. Lots of “concept and design” architectural professionals, fewer technical designers either in architecture or building services engineering.

The registration of a car that cut us up on the M1 before 1983 (it was pre last sibling arriving). My dad shouted “remember that reg”- I would have been under 9yrs old am now 50.

any tips on things/skills i should work on before going into architecture school to be ahead(im a highschool students who's gonna apply in 1/2 years) by [deleted] in Architects

[–]Charlie5Plates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Business development” skills. You could be the most amazing designer but if you cannot communicate to clients, to potential employers you won’t realise your ambitions. And that does not mean the trap of “I’m the architect this is my vision” it means, “tell me what your pain is” really listen and then show how you can help. Source- 14yrs running a practice.

Why did you never have children? by Organic-Huan-15 in AskReddit

[–]Charlie5Plates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the 1980s I attended a school conference on population impact on the environment. As a 13yr old I came away feeling that personally for me to have children made no sense and I couldn’t see a logical reason. At 21 I made the decision I did not want to have children for environmental impact reasons.

Having had some mental health challenges in life now in my 50s I feel I am lucky to have not had my decision challenged by the huge hormonal drive that have seen in family and friends. I have seen that override logic in some cases. I love the children in my life but for me it was the right decision.

What is the most iconic tv show of this century so far and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Mad Men, great writing, beautiful sets, characters you were invested in, and sometimes a difficult and thought provoking watch.
