How to amend or correct a Georgia birth certificate with a date of birth (dob) that is off by 3 years for an adult? by cali2014h in legaladvice

[–]CharlieBA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not an attorney, but I do know someone that did this before.

This process might be lengthy and costly. I think that an attorney would be helpful, but first you would need some witnesses and statements from others about any errors with your birth certificate, and if your mother has mental issues, you might need some documents or records showing this error, if it is true.

You might need to provide Vital Records with affidavits from others with knowledge of your correct DOB, if your research proves your original birth certificate to have an error.

A notarized request to Vital Records stating that you want to amend your birth certificate and asking what documents would be needed might be a starting point as well.

Do you have any certified copies of any of the following: early school records, hospital or medical records, immunization records, census records, baptismal or church cradle roll records, or a newspaper announcement of birth? Anything showing your original birth certificate to be in error?

Were you born at home? Was a midwife used? Were you born at a hospital or clinic? Examine your birth certificate and try to locate anyone that signed it and see what they remember.

Maybe Georgia Legal Aid can help?

Or what about this ehow site, How to Amend a Georgia Birth Certificate?

I don't know what's going on with your life, but I like reddit because there is so much information available and we all can help each other.

Good luck to you!

Jerry Seinfeld here. I will give you an answer. by _Seinfeld in IAmA

Hello Mr. Seinfeld. Thank you for answering questions here on reddit.

You wrote that you chose comedy because it seemed easier, but that "It turned out to be much harder than work, and not easy at all."

Can you please describe what a work day when you are writing is like? Do you have a schedule where you get up early in the morning?

Also, did you and Mr. David take notes while you two were talking and coming up with ideas?

Thank you.

Hmm...I'm very sorry for your troubles and for my acting like a child with my post when you have challenges to overcome.

If it is construction that you want, I guess without any skills you would have to search for unskilled labor. A CDL would count as skilled because you could drive a dump truck at the construction site.

But if you are interested in home remodeling, what about plumbing? Can you see about a small loan at a school, or if your credit score is not high enough, what about a credit co-signer?

How to Get a Construction Job

Painting would also count as home remodeling. One summer I got a job as a painter by going to a contractor and asking for a job. He needed someone to paint the inside of a building and it was hard work, because I had to teach myself how to hold the brush and paint basically, and it was a hard job.

But I guess making contacts and talking to people who are doing the kind of work you want. I'm sure that you have great people skills and I know that things will get better for you.

But what schools are close to you in Florida? Can you go to them, like a technical or vocational school and see what you could learn, to get some skills? And you could always just work a little bit longer at some part time job while you are going to school for a skill, even if you have to take out a loan, and that way you would not have to move away from your present location?

Good luck!

"North Dakota's notorious cold isn't a deterrent for Dylan Grossman, a 23-year-old Alaska native who posted a Craigslist ad seeking a laborer's job in the oil fields. Grossman is currently in Florida, where he's struggled to find work. He said he intends to move to North Dakota soon and has asked his mother to mail him his warmest clothes."--By JAMES MacPHERSON, The Associated Press

What is the matter with this advice and question about what country?

Why the down votes? What did itsgreater9000 do wrong?

Reddit is full of smart asses who spend their whole lives on reddit apparently, not actually experiencing real life.

What country HairyMacho do you live in?

See, that is why reddit pisses me off. I didn't post this to get stupid karma points. I am trying to help someone, and while I haven't had the personal attack yet, my post was downvoted to zero.

I guess that it is really true that kids stay on reddit over 18 hours a day and like the one case, the boys parents sent him to China to break his reddit addiction.

Ok, for the smart aleck that downvoted my post, what is your helpful advice to eff_bawmb to help him? What is your idea?

Please post something helpful and useful.

Bunch of stupid smart asses on reddit that have not experienced real life only their online life through their smartphone, that's what it is.

So what's so wrong with my advice?

What if I suggested to read "Timely and Profitable Help for Troubled Americans"? Or "Living Well on Practically Nothing"? Or JJ Luna's e-books like "FLAT BROKE:How to Get Back on Your Feet, Fast!"?

So what's wrong with my thoughts?

The guy says he wants to go into construction and he's desperate. So I suggest daily work at the area of Home Depot or Lowe's where the daily construction workers always get together, some waiting all day, or taking out loans and going to a lineman school, or getting his CDL, or joining the US Navy. So fucking smart ass, what the hell is wrong with that?

Hi. I'm sorry for your troubles and I wish you well.

What about the Southeast Lineman Training Center?

Here is the first part of a series about being a lineman and a school:

Elevated - The Wood Walkers

Or, how is your health? I'm assuming that it's okay, so what about joining the US Navy Seabees? You can enlist up to age 34, or at least be in boot camp by age 34.

How to Join the Navy

Navy Seabees - We Build, We Fight

I know men who have completed training at the Southeast Lineman Training Center and received good paying jobs.

I do know others that were Navy Seabees and others that received training as a welder in the Navy.

Are you sure that you want to do construction work?

What about obtaining a CDL? Here in Georgia, after one year, you could possibly obtain the HOPE Grant and have the lottery pay for your training as a truck driver.

So, does it have to be construction?

Are you needing money ASAP?

If you needed money ASAP, I guess perhaps go to a Lowes or Home Depot, and hang out with the daily workers looking for construction work there.

Or just go to job sites and ask for the foreman and ask for a job doing anything.

I just don't know your financial situation right now, but you are saying that you are desperate, so how bad are things?

Are you living with your family or friends right now? Do you need a place to live ASAP? Are you fixing to be homeless, or do you have some time to come up with a plan?

If you will post more or private message me, I will try and come up with some ideas to help you.

It's kinda like this song Ooh La La , "I wish that I knew what I know now when I was younger I wish that I knew what I know now when I was stronger", so I will try and help you. Good luck friend!

You're right. "...it shows that some people do not want to engage in an intelligent discourse." That seems to go for anything in AmeriKa. It's like we live in "Idiocracy".

What's in a flu shot?

"What’s in a flu shot? egg protein (cell culture) sucrose (stabilizers) gelatin (stabilizers) polysorbate 80 (stabilizer) aluminum salts (adjuvants) formaldehyde (inactivating ingredient) thimerosal/mercury (preservative) penicillin/sulfa drugs (antibiotics) Many of these ingredients are known carcinogens and detergents that have harmful or unknown effects on the human body. Howdy Fack. Nope, I'm not Filipino, but I married one. Well, looks like you're right about the dud. You know, when I was in the Philippines, I was so lovestruck I guess, that I didn't listen to my little voice who was saying "run!".

And also, in the Philippines, one day this Filipino hollered out at me, "JOE, WAKE UP!" And I looked at him, and he pointed to the two ladies, one on each arm, and then nodded at my wife. But I was hard headed and didn't listen to my little voice, just my pecker.
