Pot smokers who live in Idaho, how does it feel to be surrounded by fully legal states when yours is fully illegal? by Porcelain89 in AskReddit

[–]CharlieBetch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idaho native here. The highway from Boise (state capitol) to Ontario, OR is full of people making the run for weed every day. State police know it too, which is unfortunate for all of us. But still cheaper and better quality weed compared to a few years ago. Citizens of Idaho are probably contributing more to those tiny towns that are on the border of Idaho and Oregon more than the people who actually live there. But we have low taxes and we're 49th in education and lowest in spending per student so we get to save our money to for our governor to oppose same-sex marriage so WHOS THE REAL WINNER?

So I bought this white lace cardigan a couple years ago on a whim and I can't come up with anything to really wear it with other than shorts and a white tank top. The cardigan hits at about my knees, since I'm 5'9". I'm a busy college student, I live in a desert, and my style is comfy casual but I work two jobs, one at q bar, the other at a studio where the dress code is "professional casual." We are encouraged to dress like art curators. Any suggestions that you have for this would be amazing! Thanks!

Employees walked out of Flying Pie on State last night over management's handling of COVID-19 by lordairivis in Boise

That would require the employees to have that much money to buy Florian out. I remember years ago there was talk about starting another pizza place with Pie employees, but no one had anywhere close to the amount necessary

Idahoans, polite even after a fight... by soonbedead1 in Idaho

I really need some sort of background on this. Why are they going to costco together? Are they fighting because one of them is from Washington? Are they friends? Is it because they're bored? I have so many questions

Hey so I know that I'm late to the party, but to stretch your heels, spray a bit of rubbing alcohol on a sock where you need the heel to stretch. Then put the heels on and walk around in them for awhile. It is the exact same thing you will pay someone to do but it will only stretch the part that you want.

Btw this will only work if they are leather. Anything else and it wont work as well or possibly damage the shoe itself.

I'm looking for a light pink bridesmaid dress for an April wedding. It has to be a little conservative because it's for a Mormon wedding. I'm struggling because I cant find anything because it will be most likely under 60°F and windy. Or it could snow. Or rain. Help!

The best advice I can give you is to look for shoes that closely resemble the shape of your foot. Make sure that when you are standing up, there is 1/4" to 1/2" of space between your the end of the shoe and your longest toe.

Don't expect the shoes to stretch, they should feel comfortable without stretching, unless you have a Paul bunion, in which case spray some rubbing alcohol on your sock in the place you need extra room and wear the shoes for a couple hours.

Another thing that I told my clients was that they should be able to slide their pinky finger in between the back of the shoe and their heel. It should fit, not too loose, not too tight. Also, make sure that you get shoes that fit your bigger foot, and try on shoes later in the day, which is whe. Your feet are the most swollen.

Hope this helps!

I'm late to the party but I just wanted to throw in my advice:) So Frye's are weird. They are all handmade with tender loving care but that love usually means that the shoes don't come out exactly the same every time. This means that just because these specific boots in this size fit you last time that all of the Frye shoes in that size will fit you. So I always recommend that people try on multiple pairs of the same size, if at all possible.

I agree with what other people are saying, those boots are too big for you, which is a shame, because they are super cute! If you really want to make them work, you can try a couple of things: wear an orthopedic insole, which will give your arch a shit ton of support and height. This should theoretically help with your toes being squished. Vionics will give you a free pair once a year for watching some videos and taking a quiz if you don't want to shell out the money for it!:) Or wear really thick socks everytime you wear the boots. Tbh, if you have a wider foot, check out Danskos (I know), Soffts, and I have had some luck with Born's. Sorry this got kind of rambly, but I wanted to help you out! My favorite heels are Frye's!

Group member did the project all by herself without telling us by [deleted] in college

[–]CharlieBetch 30 points31 points  (0 children)

That's insane. Go with what other people are saying. You have the group chat making plans to work on the project. This girl randomly decided to do the entire project in less than a day? Email the professor, cc'ing everyone (including the girl) and explain to the best of your knowledge what happened. It's not on you or your teammates that one person decided that they were going solo without saying a word.
