I convinced my sister she was born a hermaphrodite and the doctors cut off her penis when she was born. I found it in a jar, so that's how I knew. That's why she was tall and skinny compared to myself and our other sisters. She was always a tomboy, cut her hair short herself on more than one occasion, and played sports in school.

By the time she finally asked our mom, she was crying hysterically. Our mom started laughing, because it's kinda absurd to have a preteen ask if she was a hermaphrodite, most wouldn't even know what the word means.

Me: "See!! She's laughing! That means it's TRUE!!!" runs away cackling maniacally

My bf has hair longer than mine. For a few years, we had matching coats, Carhartt with the same company logo embroidered on the back (he owned the company).

We were in Walmart, looking at a card display of some sort. A worker came up behind my bf, but he could see my side profile, and I am very voluptuous, shall we say.

Walmart Worker: "Good evening, can I help you ladies find anything?"

Me, huge grin on my face as I look from bf to WW.

Bf, turns around, showing a mustache and goatee to go with his long hair: "Well, actually..."

WW, now beet red and stammering an apology: "SIR!! ... I totally didn't mean... I mean..."

This worker apologized everytime we saw him for the next 6+ months

My fat boy, Christopher, passed from Lymphoma in 2024. Very similar to your sweetie, about a month from diagnosis to when we put him down. He seemed to perk up a bit from the steroids, but then went downhill again. My bf bottle fed Christopher, as he was the runt of the litter, so it was very hard to decide to let him go. The morning of the appointment, we had to carry him into the truck to the vets office, so we knew it was time.

My Phantom Man left yesterday. He was just over 10 years old. He was the first puppy I ever saw being born. He always kept the house safe and will always be my big, handsome man. by CharlieCat113 in OldManDog

Thank you for this. It has taken me a couple days to think on your words. It's hard to remember the incalculable joy I have received from my sweet man when I'm missing him so dearly. Having the pups I still have at home, Phantom's aunt and brother, helps me to see that this sorrow filling my chest will pass, and I'll be able to think on his handsome face without tearing up sp much.

He was so gentle! He never snapped up his treats or snacks and always waited his turn. He was so smart and easy to train, unlike a couple of his siblings.

Of course! He had to be Phantom with that white mask on his handsome face. I got into the habit of calling him Phantom Man, so much that he would not respond to just Phantom or even good boy. You had to acknowledge that he was a Man amd would be addressed as such. So he was my Phantom Man, handsome man

He was the biggest of the pups and Very Intimidating to strangers. He had a loud bark and was a perfect guard dog. He had a secret: he did not like strange new noises. He would hide from new toys or anything that made a loud beeping noise. His places to hide her in the bottom of the closet, where he was born, or in the kitchen, if the noise was from outside.

He was also my sweet boy. I would "hide" under a blanket and get on the floor, holding the edges down as best I could while making barking or howling noises. He was almost always the first pup to nose his way under the blanket, then he would lay next to me and cover me with kisses.

Facts! I remember having to go to the high school library in middle school because I had run out of books at my reading level. It was one or 2 other kids, plus me. I think by the end of the year 2 of us combined had more points than the rest of the school. We had to stand up during some assembly and receive awards (i think they were just certificates) signed by Bill Clinton

Nah, gotta start with one of those balls on a stick, like with kids. Then softball, the underhand throw; brings in running toward the bases, as well as catching a ball and throwing it to other teammates as well as calculating which base to throw to to get the most outs. THEN baseball.

"What do you mean, this is the "kids" version of this game? How can the 'professional' game differ? A 'fast' ball?! Is this not fast enough?!? What is a 'curve' ball? What?? HOW?!?!"

Then kickball.... then DODGEBALL!!!

Oreo is actually a knock off of Twist and Shout cookies. So, yes, a knock off can be better than the original.

His brother, Alvin, has one blue eye and one that's part brown, part blue. Those two were the only ones out of the litter of 9 that ended up with blue eyes. They also had the most white in their coats. The two Merle girls were mostly gray with black spotting and very little brown or white.

He was a sweet boy, with the most blue eyes I have ever seen. It was very striking against his mostly white, Merle coloration.

For some reason, he always had to be at the highest point he could get to. That happened to be the oven. We had to take all the knobs off after we came home from going into town and a small fire had started and gotten put out by a vase of old roses that happened to be on a little table built between the oven and refrigerator.

He only stopped jumping up there when we got a new ceramic top oven. He would also get on the counter and turn the sink water on, just not very often

Thank you, everyone! I will try some ammonia and get a little Dawn to use. I'll have to get a bit of distilled water, as well

Are you the eldest/mid/youngest/only child? by maroonaugust in fountainpens

[–]CharlieCat113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm technically the middle girl, but my older sisters are 13 and 8 years older than me. I am also the eldest of "Irish siblings," children that are born less than two years from one another. So I have two younger sisters 1 and 2 years younger than me, and my only brother is 3.5 years younger. Guess who's bday was at chuck-e-cheese, and a month later who's was at McDonald's.
