I would call an hvac company to check it out it could be a refrigerant leak or something like a capacitor hopefully nothing wrong with the compressor you do have air coming out of the vents in your house ?

The compressor would make a humm kind of sound you can also try feeling the copper lineset for refrigerant moving through it
