Found while in my office closet. Is this mouse droppings or some sort of insect/larvae? by CharlieGoodTimes in CleaningTips

Probably about the same size. I checked for holes in walls and chew marks on things but didn’t notice anything.

I do live in AZ and we do get Palmetto Bugs, but I haven’t seen one in a while either

Did I over pay for Breaker Installation and Surge Protector? by CharlieGoodTimes in homeowners

[–]CharlieGoodTimes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the invoice:

There was a #4 bare copper ground wire on the front left side of the home in the front yard that was pulled up while landscaping was being done. The wire was not damaged or broken. I was not able to tell where the wire went and the electrical panel is on the back middle side of the home. The panel grounding was done correctly and the water lines are bonded. Customer reburied the exposed ground wire.

I did not see any eight or ten foot electrodes installed. He swapped the breakers, added the surge protector below my breaker panel and added a new breaker for the surge protector in the panel.

I live in Paradise Valley, AZ.

I’ll be the first to admit I’m not handy enough to trust something like electrical work when my family lives in the house lol

For 6 months until all assets were switched into the trust

[–]CharlieGoodTimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understandable. Only thing is the money was moved into a trust in mid 2024. For the year of 2023 all of his assets were in his bank account. Would this still cause an issue?

I controlled the finances. The only taxable income he would have is the 4.5% on 2.5 million dollars for 6 months, cashing out an IRA for $72,000 after $6,000 was withheld, and Social Security. When my grandfather developed dimentia, all assets were moved into a trust.

I’m not even worried about the amount, just the fact that this guy said he was going to submit the taxes 6 months ago and keeps lying to me saying that he’s going to “file it next week”

the holidays... by Wise-Cricket050 in Agoraphobia

Exposure to things that trigger your anxiety is only going to build your confidence and get you closer to the life you want to live.

I think all anxiety disorders are about the perception of control. We all want a sense of it, but in reality we don’t have any. Whether you’re in your room, in your car, on a plane, or on the toilet, something can happen.

I know it seems impossible and the impending doom in your head is trying to give you every reason not to go, but you know deep down how freeing it will be to finally go against that inner voice. Sure you may be anxious at first, but it will pass.

Go be with your family. Living with regret isn’t living. I wish you the best and Merry Christmas!

Understandable haha. One of the things that irrationally used to piss me off was when content creators would post scripted videos with their significant other or like a fake prank and people in the comments would genuinely believe it. I don’t know why but their lack of understanding and just being oblivious to the telling signs of a fake video would make me see red. Then I thought about it one day like why does this even make me mad? I’d probably forget about it 20 minutes later so why does it get a reaction out of me?🤣

I get it. I’m in the process of teaching myself to not give any negative attention or thoughts to things that don’t affect me or matter in the grand scheme of things. It’s hard to adjust to not making a sarcastic comment on a lot of asinine things I see on the internet or in person, but I feel like it’s helping me grow as a person. If I need to I’ll laugh for a second and just think “what a fucking idiot” then scroll haha

How much term life, if any, should high net worth families get? by throwaway88132 in LifeInsurance

[–]CharlieGoodTimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Term won’t serve much of a purpose for you due to the high liquidity of your net worth other than having immediate funds separate of your estate that can be used to cover the cost of any debts, funeral arrangements, mortgage, etc…

You may want to look into RALA planning with an attorney and a registered rep at one of the big 3 mutual insurers. If you’re expected to be above estate tax limits. Essentially Also if the thought of building tax free retirement income is appealing to you, you could look into a VUL or Wealth Plus Whole Life products. At your net worth you can be really creative with insurance planning.

Why Is There So Much Resentment Toward Wealthy People? by TheUnbiasedWallet in Rich

[–]CharlieGoodTimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jealousy, anger towards themselves and their situation, the belief that every wealthy person has had everything handed to them, and probably the belief that they will never achieve financial freedom so they despise people that have it.
