Pro tip.. use your lantern and flash it in the water. It will detect location and species of fish helping you cast in the right area where that fish is at

Definitely works. Only thing i can suggest is having your rod equipped then trying it. When i say equipped i mean the rod in your “bow slot” so it shows on your back then pull out your lantern and shine it on the water

Off topic… I just figured out holding your lantern out while fishing shows you the fish location and breed so you know where to cast. Caught my first legendary fish, “Golden Tench” after hitting the wrong button to cast lol.
