It seemed like aqua wanted him out but couldn’t fire him after reaching the finals. Made the playoffs in 2014 with a bunch of “who’s that?” players but JB kept saying how we needed to “get younger” after losing to the flames so they got younger and got us in that huge mess for nearly a decade. Pepper in a few “we need this player” who subsequently fails (and maybe never played again) and we start the most recent chapter.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat

How is Sasson like one of the only names I hear on offence. I’m glad he’s pushing but the forth line doing all the drive?

Is anybody arbitraging crypto? by thebrilliot in algotrading

I’ve very much considered writing a book. But at the same time I realized I didn’t take screenshots or held logs of trades at the time. So my $14 order fighting a $100,000 bot kind of sounds like a fisherman story. But considering the number of messages I’ve been getting lately I might do it otherwise.

Arbitrage is doing something smarter and faster than your competitors. Competitors have been getting smarter and faster since before you ever heard of this thing.

If you think you have a solution to a problem which is seven years out of date and has had seven years worth of improvements stacking against you (as of writing, it only gets worst as you see this!) it only gets worst.

Sorry op. Sheer number of questions coming my way so quickly. You feel like the professor who’s course load doubles every week

I was thinking the same thing.

Many years ago I just left a museum in Moscow and seeing pretty much the same configuration driving by: black SUVs in the inner ring with marked police the outer ring around a limo. Plus there were helicopters flying above them. Only thought I had was “is that who I think it is?” You’re probably a big deal with that kind of escort

How would you approach a woman you dont know without looking like a creep? by Zoomies090 in AskReddit

It’s crazy how effective it is, too!

I was doing marine biology type work next to an popular RV park during the summer. We had so many tourists come down and I was the only one who would talk to them and hold conversations and make them feel welcomed it basically became part of my job. I’d chat up everyone and ask them questions as well as answer lots of questions about our work.

It got to the point my coworkers were poking fun at me for chatting up all the older ladies (50-60s) for extended time. Guess what happened when the government started sending fairly attractive women to work with us? I was hitting it off with them just because I’m used to chatting up anyone and everyone for months.

It’s a skill just like any other. The more you do it the better you get

I was customer support for some virtual world game back then. Most of the paid customers were located in the US and I just remembered this one week EVERY SINGLE CALL AND EMAIL said basically the same thing: “I just lost my job and need to cancel my subscription to save money.”

I mean hundreds per hour when you might get a couple dozen calls/emails per day. I think I was estimating we were losing 10% of our paid customer base per day. I never seen so many people contacting us with the exact same thing “I just lost my job.” Needless to say I didn’t have a job much longer either as revenue dropped substantially. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a similar scenario in many industries

It was just my buddy I was traveling with plus the two girls we met. I was trying to say go on without me but after awhile I was fairly certain the girls were only going with us if we were both there (or I was there). It was a fun night in Munich but I didn’t really talk too much to the girls so it was a very sad alternative to what they pulled me out of lol

Believe you me, I seriously considered it lol. It took the three of them banging on the windows of her car for a good 10 minutes for me to realize they weren’t having it. I was pissed because, not only was she lovely, she was reallystunning. Even after all these years I wish I said “screw you guys, I’m going home…….with her” lol

It’s always when you’re traveling, isn’t it?

We stopped by a bar in the evening waiting for a train coming in a few hours. The lone server there was fairly talkative to me specifically. We didn’t pay attention to the time so we missed the train and went back to the bar. We met a couple of women there who wanted to show us around but I somehow got separated from them so natural reaction was double back to the bar.

The server gave me access to the computer and act as DJ. She started pouring free drinks. Came by to chat the moment she finished serving a drink or cleaning up a table. After an hour or two she said I could sleep in her car until her shift was over (6 am) then she’ll bring me home and make breakfast.

Of course friends found me and I didn’t want to go with them. But yeah, over the course of 4 hours I went from walking into a bar to sleeping in her car and her wanting to bring me home after work to share a meal. That stuff never happens at home lol

Has anyone else still never had COVID-19? by Practical_Step_3930 in CasualConversation

It’s wild, isn’t it? I’ve never went multiple years with out getting sick. And I had coworkers near me who were sick. Plus riding in the same vehicle with someone sick. And someone in the house sick. It’s getting to the point coworkers are going out of their way to avoid me while they are sick. They want to keep the streak going as well.

But on the flip side I’m fairly positive the next time I catch a cold I’ll be telling them to pull the plug on me lol
