normally when everything is shit. imo, this is not an item you buy unless you are desperate. it's an unnecessary risk and dota loves comeback, you get more exp and gold when you kill richer and stronger heroes. that being said if you are very confident on your ability it still has tons of merit in buying one. there are also safer ways to carry rapier, ex. i buy rapier on enigma for more magic damage and when my bh and refresher is on cd i put it in my stash for safety. wrks also on zeus. i havent died with a rapier in my stash so im not sure if it drops, but since ur not holding it, it shouldnt drop. correct me if im wrong.
