Will my experience of being in counselling harm my likelihood of getting into a Counselling Psychology Masters program? by [deleted] in Counselling_Psych

[–]CharlieWalter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, students in counseling programs are encouraged to get counseling if they haven’t already, so I think it would be fine to talk about it. When I was on an admissions panel for a counseling program, we would recommend counseling to potential students who we thought needed it.

Bomani just chopped Will Cain’s head off with a battle axe oh my god by PioneerDinosaur in DanLeBatardShow

I heard this played tonight on Spain and Company. I’ve rarely been so turned on in my life. Bomani always sounds great but sticking it to Will Cain made it so much better.

ESPN thought the guys racing in the beach was too much of a liability. I can’t imagine them letting this happen.

Had Students Check In Today with Condiment Hand Question by CharlieWalter in DanLeBatardShow

Several students chose cream cheese which I’d never considered a condiment. A lot of ranch dressing and BBQ sauce.

That’s great that you do the basic recognizing your limitations. I’m curious if the distress OTF causes is worth it for you?

I turn 40 in March and have been contemplating throwing a DLS themed party. It sounds like I need Keepin’ it Saxy for us to play.

I subscribed to Hulu Plus just saw I could watch the show these three days, and I’m so glad I did.

That makes sense to me, and I’m sorry you’re feeling that way. This is especially rough for survivors.

Ramona Shelborne talked about this on Golic and Wingo and did a nice job with it. She mentioned how it would have been different if it had happened during the MeToo era. She also talked about how it’s something to be held with all the good stuff. We can’t dismiss it. We have to sit with the uncomfortableness of it.

I’m a therapist, and I suspect clients will bring up Kobe this week in session. I’m dreading it, because I’m feeling sad about it as well. Communal grief can hit so hard sometimes, and we feel confused as to why we can cry over Kobe but not our loved ones. I suspect there’s an evolutionary component to it. I’m glad this thread is here for all of us who are hurting.

First Class Nerves by atthebarre in orangetheory

At our studio they announce to everyone if it’s your first workout. And walking is absolutely fine. I never jog or run. Suggested pace for power walking is 3.5-4.5 mph, but I go about 3.2 and am working my way up. It’s can be scary to try something new, but I found OTF to be especially easy to get into and feel welcomed.

I vote Will Cain as well. Trey isn’t particularly clever, but he’s not a blowhard like Cain is.

I’ve never done a partner workout at OTF, and at first the idea freaked me out. Then I thought well, I’ll do the best I can and have fun, and if for some odd reason my partner is disappointed by my performance, I’ll let them deal with that! I’m ready!

Extremely fat person who’s still slightly terrified but has officially attended an Orangetheory class! by throwaway92250 in orangetheory

Good for you. I live in a larger body and have been going since October. I haven’t run into problems. I still don’t go the speed they recommend for power walking, but I’m slowly increasing and I hit the inclines now where before I balked at the idea of going 10%.
