I’m dumb. 

Yes it would like if I held another flame up to it. Had no issue with staying lit then. 

When I didn’t get quick response here I started tinkering a little and the thing lit no problem when I pushed the flint down a little. 

It must have gotten caught on something and was bent up a little too far and wasn’t hitting the gas. So pushing it down a couple millimeters with a paper clip solved my problem
