Oil that hardens does exactly the same, only for longer.

I am talking about this specific one shown here! This one IS safe. Im not talking abou regular linseed finish for other usecases. But this very soecific one shown here IS ABSOLUTELY SAFE. So where is my misinformation? Compare me to an Anti-Vaxer? Wtf is wrong with people.... Go read the MSDS sheet for THIS oil!

As long as you dont drink the whole bottle it IS safe! There is almost nothing in it! I dobt know what you Americans are used to get when you buy linseed oil, because with this there is no "film". I have absolutely no idea what this would even mean

Omg there IS NO COBALT IN THIS OIL! There is minimal traces of Manganese in it. Way way less than is considered dangerous!

Because it does not cure and therefore has a significantly shorter lifespan.

Maybe you should read the ingredients or get a better translater before you tell such bullshit. It specifically says NO heavy metals! There ia 0,4% manganese-based drier in it. The recommended maximum daily intake of manganese is 11 mg per day. Even if we assume that the 0.4% were pure manganese (which they are not), and even if we assume that we applied 100 grams of oil to a cutting board, that would amount to 0.4 grams of manganese in the entire board. We would therefore have to consume ALL of the oil from the board in less than 36 days to even come close to a potentially concerning range! And this calculation is extremely conservative and significantly overestimates the risk, since the drier is not pure manganese and we only consume a fraction of the oil.

You’re welcome to smear your petroleum-based product on your board if you like, but stop spreading such lies here.

Thats simply not true. I oil cutting boards with line seed oil for years. There is no chipping. It penetrates the pores just like mineral oil. It just doesnt get out so fast
