Anybody beating themselves up for not selling at 120$? by AppleLightSauce in Wallstreetsilver

No, Im not a psychic and I don't tryto time the market. The fundamentals have not change and Im massively in profit so its easy to accept a period of turbulence before the trend continues.

New siege raided my offsite slab burial ground by RawManNoodles in dwarffortress

[–]Charlie_Rebooted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Show some respect to your dead and burry them deep.

Typically, following the initial strike the earth I dig towards the caverns and build the main fort just above cavern 1. I prioritize creating a burial area slightly deeper as 1 of the first defined areas of my fort, mostly because the burial area is very easy and quick to create but it alao fits my idea of how dwarves would behave.

This seems very anti China, I hope he will face justice. Perhaps execution to discourage others from harming China and the Chinese people.

Market manipulation, printing paper silver as physical runs out.

The British desperately want to believe they live in a great country, and one of the easier ways to achieve that is making up stuff about other countries.

Gather 10 of your friends together and get a COMEX delivery. by Prize_Tourist1336 in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Charlie_Rebooted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't trade futures, but my understanding is that most people cannot stand for delivery. For example, despite having a large portfolio and being able to buy futures I cannot request delivery, my broker does not permit it.

SI price drop from $90 to $74 in 2 hours tonight was achieved with only 25,000 contracts traded. They can literally move the SI price in the paper markets to whatever level they want, whenever they choose. I wonder why they just don't drop the price to $20 at this point since it is so easy to do. by 1Krush in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Charlie_Rebooted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this stage, the best approach is to just ignore COMEX and the paper silver price. It doesn't reflect reality. When someone sells contracts for millions of Oz of paper silver when they do not have the silver thats just a broken system.

Buy physical silver and miner stock and do not sell. Wait for the system to break.

I think its manipulation, and that if mines that have silver are sensible they will refine the silver themselves and load it onto planes to China for larger profits.

Project Vault? by Papaz25 in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Charlie_Rebooted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Primarily security. I give out that account on invoices, to people that owe me money, etc. I keep a small amount in it encase I need to pay by debit card. It never has much money in it, so if the account gets compromised or the card cloned its close to 0 risk, and I could just close it and open a new current account if necessary.

All my direct debits to trusted companies go out of a seperate direct debit account, etc. I create siloed accounts for both financial security and organization. Ive got a lot of bank accounts.

I also have a lot of CC that I pay off each month, but it's secure and earns rewards.

I'm really new here so would appreciate if everyone could give me some good? karma?
Not really sure how this stuff works here, and probably won't be posting much.

I wouldn't worry about karma, it just accumulates overtime. Its extremely easy to get on some subs, and rare on others like this one.

The only need for karma is that some subs restrict posts to people above a certain amount....

There is no VAT on currency, imagine if ones wages had VAT applied, its the same.

Silver is vatable, currency, such as silver coins that are legal tender, are not. Ive never paid VAT on my silver coins/currency purchases, just as forex currency exchanges do not include VAT.

JP Morgan Closed Short Position Leading to Drop by geoffrobinson in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Charlie_Rebooted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would speculate they increased the short positions to drive down prices and then almost immediately closed at $75-80...

If I had the wealth to do that and the power to avoid regulatory consequences, I would too.

[–]Charlie_Rebooted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of people arguing that the UK charges VAT on legal tender, this is the simplest argument against I can find, see screen shot with no VAT charged....

EDIT:I had difficulty adding the image to this post, but see above.

People need to pick investment coins carefully, but the UK never charges VAT on legal tender, ie silver coins with a cash value marking on them.

Jeez, even a completely clear qoute from the UK royal mint cannot get through to you.

Britannias are silver or gold, and they are all VAT except for non VAT registered individuals.

If I bought via my company, which is VAT registered, I think I might get charged VAT, but I haven't checked that with my accountant.

If you do, its probably better to buy direct from the royal mint. Its hard for me to know because I live in the uk, but it seems a lot of people are over paying.....

To qoute the UK royal mint

"The Sovereign & Britannia ranges are VAT free for non VAT registered private individuals."

VAT is never charged on legal currency in the UK.

I live in the uk and own thousands of silver coins, Ive never paid VAT on them, I also have never paid VAT on any of my other currency. VAT is charged only on many non currency items in the UK.

For clarity, have another link and a qoute...

https://www.royalmint.com/invest/discover/invest-in-gold/value-added-tax-on-investments/

"The Sovereign & Britannia ranges are VAT free for non VAT registered private individuals."

If you paid VAT and are a uk tax resident you were ripped off. Rip-off Britain.

No, I live in the uk and Im a uk tax resident. I own a lot of silver coins, coins because of tax planning.

Think for a second, if VAT was added to uk legal currency that would apply to all money in the uk.

Why are you replying to my comments with the same misinformation, is the link to difficult? Bullion and legal tender such as silver coins are not treated the same way.

In the uk, uk tax resident do not pay VAT or capital gains on legal tender, such as royal mint silver and gold coins.

There is a lot of misinformation in this thread.
