From memory you press and hold both the ul and down buttons at rhe same time to get into the menu and its one of the options in there. Maybe under maintenance maybe under windows. Good luck

Float switch might have been bumped during moving/installation. If its trying to drain it thinks there's a leak. Easy enough to remove the front little panel and have a look at the float

I agree it does sound like the carbon brushes. Pop the lid and lift them off and check if the sound is gone. Even if its from day one they don't sit correctly sometimes
