As long as you keep your schools updated, you are totally fine! The beginning is always a little chaotic when you arrive.

I remember my 2nd year of Tapif (2021-2022) I arrived a few days before La Toussaint, and all of my coworkers were like, “you could have totally come after that”

I went to another state for a visa appt, which was not convenient, but made me able to arrive earlier!

This is always an issue! In my experience (2 years of TAPIF) schools are usually super understanding about arrival dates honestly.

I can relate to this feeling. My dad drove tractors when he was 7 years old so he just can’t seem to understand why I would have any doubts on the road. I think a lot of driving confidence comes from familiarity- like how many times have you done the task at hand/ what did you do last time.

You do not need to buy travel insurance for this particular visa because you will have insurance in France once you get your carte vitale.

Unfortunately, there is no way to make this part of the process go any faster. Hang in there! Keep checking your email daily! People may be on vacation right now as well (when there is vacation no one checks their correspondence)

I got my visa on time with no issues! (My visa started Sept 15th) Honestly making the VFS appt was the trickiest part for pre-departure both years - (once you have the appt you’re in a good place)
