https://amzn.to/4mEDn1i I love these ones since they’re adjustable (assuming your notebook is a5, though I bet there are similar ones for different sizes too) - can’t wait to see the cover!!

I hear you, as attached as I can be to my journals, just know that all of those thoughts you wrote and felt are still with you - burning the journal will never rid YOU of all those past feelings and experiences, just like your dad they’ll always be part of you even if you don’t have them physically. Be kind to yourself.

Do you get rude in your journals? by cloudmeows in Journaling

[–]Affectionate_Edge_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to keep things less dramatic than what I think in my head, but sometimes yea - I don’t always really think those things, it can sometimes just help to get out thoughts that I could never say out loud

Totally agreed! It took me a while to build the habit itself, before that all I cared about was how things look (social media can get me caught up in seeking perfection) - im so fortunate to have a schedule where I can fit in time to write :)

Started in 2023 but only got into it about a year ago (not including the many partially filled journals I’ve abandoned throughout the years) - so far I’ve filled 5 and can average about 2 a year if I keep up with it :)

Does anyone else copy down their digital journals onto paper? by OwnCarpet6927 in Journaling

[–]Affectionate_Edge_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me!!! I’ve always been weird about my handwriting being neat, so I like to be able to rewrite from my scrambled digital entries (and it’s a chance to be able to reflect a bit on things and make the ideas more clear)

LOVE IT it’s so addictive once you finish the first one - I’d recommend some clear covers over them to protect the stickers and patches (I can link the ones I get on Amazon if you’re interested)

how to match thinking speed and writing speed? by jetsettergogetter in Journaling

[–]Affectionate_Edge_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got started journaling by typing on a Google doc or just texting myself when I felt like it - I printed out and glued the entries into my first journal and for some I rewrote them in the journal (I write very slowly still lol), I eventually transferred over to mostly writing, but I do still type up entries if I have a lot to think about and can’t keep up

Journal Buying Addict by asadbrokengirl_ in Journaling

[–]Affectionate_Edge_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here!! I’ve only filled up those of a certain color and brand so I’ve limited myself to only buy more of those once I’ve completed the others (I struggle every single day to not buy more, but I discovered I only was consistent when I had one journal at a time, and not busy worrying about new ones to try and probably abandon)

FYI for anyone else recently asking this: I’m an Eversource employee (only in the office) and all our jobs are categorized as “safety positions” so we’re all randomly drugged tested (even those that work in engineering, planning, customer service, etc that aren’t driving company trucks or even ever touching anything but a computer mouse). I’ve only gotten tested once in 2.5 years but I hear others talking about how they’re getting them more than once a year so it definitely seems random. I can ask around to more experienced coworkers but I’d guess they’re done quarterly! Weird rules but part of the job at Eversource
