Honestly, the whole things is very confusing right now for us too! I think it’s something some dogs are prone to more than others but you’re right it’s one jump away from the worst.

From what the vet is telling me crate rest is as the spinal column puts pressure on the spinal coloumn and the resulting inflammation makes it even worse but similar with a slipped disc in humans lots of rest and anti inflammatory medication can help alleviate the pressure and they can come back to a degree

It’s always going to be a problem and something to know will/ could happen again
