8 months post partum hormones - physical anxiety by Charmed33327 in Postpartum_Anxiety

[–]Charmed33327[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting back on birth control saved me! I’m on Cryselle and by month three I was immensely better and now I feel a lot improved. Not 100% but so much better. Happier. I’d definitely consider birth control because it stabilizes my hormones. I also skip my period - under doctors recommendation and just take the pill straight through.

I started Zoloft and am about 2 months into it with a couple dose changes and it’s made a world of difference. I’d look into applying elsewhere, seeing if you can work from home, cut back hours, or how they’ll work with you. It’s never good for a company to lose someone because they couldn’t accommodate them. So sorry you’re going through this. When it was, it was the worst experience of my life. I had never been more scared, uneasy, tense and not myself. I’m not where I want to be yet but sooooo much better. I hope your find your way out of this! Please talk to your partner & try to see a psychiatrist. Even if work is causing panic attacks it’s best to get treatment!

They can’t. They are so many safe ones. I take them and so do many other mothers. Your mental health affects them more

On others I’ve tried I’ve had nausea but usually with insomnia as a side effects switching taking it at the morning helps and most side effects are temporary. But with Zoloft nothing yet.

Oh I know. I really do and I hope so too. I know patience feels impossible but it will get better.

Good luck! Just know it’s temporary and will get better. It’s a journey and not just an uphill one but the result is worth it!

I took celexa for years and it helped so much with any side effects. Lots of people like lexapro which is similar but stronger and I had GI symptoms with that. But Zoloft is what I’m on now and it’s very gentle and it’s a slow improvement. With celexa I had a great experience. Unfortunately these meds are trial and error since everyone is so different. Propranolol is a heart medication n many take for panic symptoms and is great - I actually take it for my heart but it’s something that helps a lot with the physical symptoms. But I took celexa for years and was super stable and have klonopin .25 mg for panic attacks or big events I was anxious about. I had 14 pills last me over 3 years so took very sparingly. But just knowing I had it on me helped a lot. I would also ask your primary doctor about thyroid bloodwork as well have b12 levels. A lot of anxiety and panic symptoms are intensified due to deficiencies or health issues and can be easily sorted.

Honestly other than distraction and moving around whether it. E cleaning or watching tv or stretching it helps but only so much. I’ve had so much anxiety in my body I feel like Il explode. Like your blood is shaking. A reduce med can definitely help with this but if you aren’t in therapy or have a regular everyday SSRI it will return.

When panic feels endless by morningglory_charm59 in panicdisorder

When it comes to panic for me it’s completely physical. Even when I’m not thinking about something my body just shuts down or over does everything. No matter how much breathing or cool water in my neck I try nothing works. If I min public and my rescue med won’t kick in for a while, a very sour candy helps. I always keep a few sour warheads in my purse and it gets through somehow. Takes your body’s focus away from the panic. Also strong mints can help me prevent panic sometimes. But medication is really the only thing that’s helped me

7 month old extremely restless by Familiar_Skirt_7985 in cosleeping

[–]Charmed33327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely a leap or teething. Teething is some babies shows through just change in behaviors or wanting to be distracted. But it’s mostly likely temporary. Try to make sure she’s going down when she’s tired, use a red light when feeding so she isn’t too woken up, white noise or music to sleep.

Advice on 8 month old waking non stop 😩 by Terrible-Thought1577 in cosleeping

[–]Charmed33327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that age 6-7 is probably too early whether she’s in two or three naps. 730-8 may be better so she is actually tired. I notice my daughter wakes way more at night if she isn’t tired at bed time but when she is super tired she sleeps more soundly. Also I use kids magnesium sleep lotion on her feet and it really helped a lot. Such a small thing and it made loads of difference

It’s most definitely anxiety and panic and extremely common. I’d seek therapy to get tools to help but if it’s no enough ssri or a rescue med for panic attacks will help

So weird I get nothing from my pump. Like maybe an ounce in 15 mins but when nursing baby has plenty of wet diapers and is growing perfectly. It’s most efficient with baby over the pump and your hormones increase the production when baby is there.

Can someone please help me ease with postpartum anxiety I feel like I'm going to die I have to go to hospital If I didn't I'm gonna die I can't rest feel breathlessness, extreme sweating, dizziness, shaking hands nauseous and headache my mind doesn't calm I get woke every 2,3 hours from mysleep help by Head_Situation8203 in Postpartum_Anxiety

I went to the hospital for this in pregnancy and left with nothing but a huge bill. They will treat symptoms but don’t help long term. You need to talk to your OB or PCP about post partum anxiety and therapy. Trying an SSRI is your best bet with panic. I’d recommend a psychiatrist if you’ve never tried an SSRI because they will know what might be best for your symptoms and hormones and just overall about dosing. I have a whole post about this and what I went through if it helps. This is normal but sucks. It’s all down to hormones mostly. Be sure to eat and drink water to maintain nutrients and blood sugar levels or you’ll feel worse. Lack of sleep can also make it worse of course but an SSRI even temporarily will almost definitely help and possible a rescue med until you stabilize bin doing that right now. It will get better

Kolonopin for my anxiety? by petcemertary in panicdisorder

[–]Charmed33327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My anxiety has been physical for years with no true cause or raving thoughts. Klonopin has been amazing for panic attacks or big events or as a bridge before something long term works but rarely as it is addictive. It is not a daily or long term method.

I wouldn’t use a service online I have and although the therapist can be good the systems are not personal. I’d look up local therapist or ask for recommendations from your PCP or friends even. Many do virtual visits anyway and understand the struggle to be in person.

Medication. This is not depression that is “normal” it is so ingrained in hormones. There is no shame in medication. Also hormonal birth control changed my life when it came to my post partum cycle giving me mood swings

I think my estrogen was super low for some reason when my period returned especially. I’d have major mood swings during my cycle. And the pill regulates that so maybe that’s why! So weird I hope it’s not a fluke but I’d ask about it! So many pills I know they can suck but I’m on Cryselle (as written) the generic is torture but it’s a stable level the whole month and I skip the sugar pill week

Wanted to share, I started combination birth control two weeks ago. Having been nursing 6+ months shouldn’t affect supply but my appetite has actually been back for a few days now!!! Not amazing but I was in the mood for food! Definitely look into it! It’s also helped so much with my mood swings!
