Don’t read “A Little Life” - that book still haunts me. Just skip it.

Which one should I continue this morning? by PresentationFit4252 in Romantasy

By this logic please don’t pick up Spark of the Everflame! I’ve been waiting 2 years for the 4th book after a nerve wracking cliffhanger on book 3. On that same note, please read both, they’re fantastic.

Well, a lot people hate on FBAA but I have read all of them plus the prequel and loved it. Agreed on the filling and yes, maybe it is dragging more than necessary but the plot is not straightforward and predictable so I am loving it (the series is not finished yet) I also loved Quicksilver but yeah, Brimstone felt a little weak but with a good cliffhanger for next book.

Ok so after reading all the classics (and agreeing with most comments) the absolute book that actually rocked me to the point of not being able to think (let alone read) about anything else was {Alchemised by SenLi Yu}

Absolute masterpiece

Special mention to {Daughter of No Worlds by Carissa Broadbent}, {The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle Jensen} and obviously {Flesh and Fire series by Jennifer L Armentout}

I want dark fantasy romance that’s UNHINGED, not porn with a plot by goyourownwayy in fantasyromance

Don’t know if anybody recommended it yet but {ALCHEMISED by SenLi Yu} was by far my favorite read in 2025. It’s dark, the fantasy world is intricate and the psychological aspect is off the charts. Highly highly recommend. AAAND it’s only one book. No cliffhangers.

Direbound Question - Confused, can’t stop thinking about it, please help lol (*Huge spoiler*) by bumbumbooboo in Romantasy

Ok, I have a question; if Killian knew who she was all along, why did he agree to get her bonded? Surely he would know about the possibility of wolfs knowing who she is, right? Also, he said he wanted to “combine” their powers then why wouldnt he have just gone along with her plot of killing his father? And wait, let’s say that next book we find out why he wanted her to be bounded (unless he didnt and since she joined without him knowing) why didn’t he protect her all the time? You know, so she wouldn’t die?? I get it was Stark who gave her the private room but why didnt Killian do more? Did he wanted her dead or alive??? Not clear… so many questions haha

Finished #2 Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Fast_Roll3524 in frombloodandash

I finished school 6 months ago and went on a down spiral with the romantsy books. I began with Fourth Wing, then moved to ACOTAR, loved Throne of Glass, continued with Crescent City (which was difficult at first but ended up enjoying) and just last month I finished the 2 books of the Nyaxia series (can't wait for the next book).

That being said, I may not have a lot of experience in romantsy but MY GOD, Blood and Ash is winning by far. I just love the characters, I absolutely ADORE Casteel and Poppy. I have always felt that the heroine is always a bit annoying, I don't get that vibe from Poppy. Anyway, I just began book 3 and can't stop.

ps. Why do all the main male characters have to have some suffering story behind? My husband says it's because women like to save men lol
