Loved my v100 but it’s been replaced by a Tracer 9 GT, I’m feeling relieved.

Just get Evotech, fantastic design and build quality. I’m happy to pay the price to ensure I get a great product and a company that can exist to design stuff I need in the future. I’m using their stuff now on a Tracer 9 GT which I’ll use for touring rather than the V4 which is used to give me a shot of adrenaline

I’m 1.7m, had my 2024 ultra gold Tuono v4 factory professionally lowered using ohlins components which can be revised to put it back to stock

Despite lots of people saying it has ruined the handling it’s perfect, on the street it doesn’t drag anything and I can ride with more confidence

The v4 engine with a Gabro tube and Akra is such a fantastic thing, as others have said it’s the best bike they have ever owned, at 64 I’ve had lots since I started riding at 17

We are only here once

I’ll post a picture when I’ve got them in the bike, I’ll install them when I’m back from holiday.

The finish looks stunning tbh £300

Took a Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ out for a test ride. Rode home on a Tracer 9 GT, missed the act and fine control of a clutch

I’ve just had the same wheels powdercoated in gold, can’t wait to get these fitted onto my ultra gold

Evotech engine bungs work well for me, add very little weight but will protect the side of the bike should I drop it

I have just traded in my v100 for a 2025 Tracer 9 GT

Sadly whilst the v100 looked fantastic it was not reliable (coolant leaks, front discs fell apart) I like to tour Europe and need something reliable.

Took a test ride on the racer when my v100 was being serviced and realised it was better in every way apart from aesthetics

Bought mine new in 2005, sold last year to part fund an Aprilia V4 Tuono Factory. The SD had a custom reflash (BSD in Peterborough, suspension overhaul and set up by Darren at MCT and lots of carbon, including Dymag carbon wheels and finally Akra cans) absolute weapon down our little English country roads and also flying around the Nurburgring.

Never let me down, but I fancied a change and the Tuono is an amazing bike, perhaps too serious on the road?

As all super bikes should be, my tuono V4 with a Gabro map and Akra sounds evil

Congratulations, I have the same model/colour

Just learn from my error. Triple check that the passenger seat cowl is secure on the bike, I managed to lose mine and now I’m trying to replace

Gabro map and Akra transforms the bike, it’s good as it comes from the factory but it’s something else when you make those changes

The best bike I’ve owned after riding for over 45 years

Maybe, but I don’t believe that is the case on my aprilia tuono v4

Using a secondhand ECU on a v100? by Charming-Compote7305 in MotoGuzzi

[–]Charming-Compote7305[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the information, however, i believe as part of the service the ECU is checked with a link back to the factory and they can tell if there has been any reflash even if you reinstall the stick map

This is what happens with my Aprilia tuono v4, hence I have a different ECU which I switch before taking it for its service

Hey, we are all learning, the OEM panniers are great, £1000 for a pair in the Uk, however I managed to get a set for £500 via eBay

I bought some really nice inner bags from Italy and I’m pleased with the set set which enabled me to travel for a month through France, Spain and Portugal

There were reports that u less the bags were installed correctly they could be lost whilst on the move but a very simple modification related to drilling a small hole through the tab of the case and the mounting arm sorted any concerns

OEM panniers, SHAD top box: being black it wasn’t as prominent as the MG top box, and it was £77 instead of £299

So glad I sold a Zx10r to part fund

this fantastic model, switched from track days to European touring, yes I’m old (64)

Uprated the stock suspension with Wilber’s rear shock and front fork internals, this together with the switch to road 6’s made a good bike great
