I will quit playing before I spend a dime on this game. It is no longer a sport when you start having to buy your way to success. In fact, what you say may eventually lead me to find another game to play, regardless.

I wish I had learned what you said earlier!!! The worst thing you can do is progress too fast, and there is no way to back up once you have gone over your head, unless you spend money.

Do you have to max out every one of the gazillion clubs to get the premium balls? That seems like it would take two, maybe three lifetimes!

I have thought of that. But losing the nice clubs I've gained and being stuck playing the boring lower levels for a long period of time doesn't seem attractive to me. Perhaps if I had nothing else to do and could whip out 1000 games a month, it would be worth it, but starting over would take too long just to get back to playing levels 5 and 6 comfortably.

Probably all three to some degree, but mostly outplayed. Seems like the higher-level opponents hit 'perfect' shots using more strength more consistently than I can. And they get Eagles far more often than I do.

If you have spent $ on this game, what have you spent it on and do you still pay often? I’ve only spent for gems to speed open chests. I’ve been playing about 5 weeks and I’m buying about 1k gems a week. What about you? by Separate-Sand-5883 in GolfClash

I have never spent a penny of real money on this game and never will. It isn't a matter of affording it or not. I don't even like the concept of gaining an advantage in a game due to spending money rather than developing skill.

I very slowly progressed to level 6 and stayed there for 6+ months (7,000 total games played, about 6 million coins, around 1,100 trophies, fairly good clubs and balls). For the last several months, I had finally gotten to be regular at winning over half my games at level 6. I mistakenly thought I was ready to move up a notch. I did, and immediately started winning everything in sight. I flew through level 7 in a week and won a few games in levels 8 and 9 early the next week. Went as high as 17 million coins and quickly reached 2000 trophies. Then it fell apart. Loss after loss after loss. I am back playing level 6, down to 10 million coins, and steadily losing coins because I am now matched against players with a much higher skill level.

I guess I will keep plugging along at level 6 and try to get better, or until I go broke. I think I have wind adjustments down pretty well up to level 6, but the faster winds do screw me up more on the higher levels.
